Shadow 1s Car DVR FullHD 30FPS with light sensor by SeeZeus

It all depends on Nancy Lee...)
They are advertising the camera with Fixed radars (Russia) so is more important to send you a camera to test that feature. But I hope her boss to not be afraid because of your nickname on the forum. @Nancy Lee should explain him that you are an Ambarella firmware forum specialist.

enjoy,
Mtz

Anyone know the bit rate on the Shadow 1s thanks

some sample video that have been posted were 12mbit, not sure if that is typical or not though, @Mtz would be able to confirm

How important is bit rate?

Would you see any difference in quality if the the bit rate was between 10- 15Mbit/sec? thanks

What determans the bitrate I would have thought it would have been up around 15Mbit/sec well that's a tad disappointing.

When the car is not moving, the difference between 8 and 20Mbit virtually invisible.
But the move bitrate shortage is felt much stronger.
Here is a comparison 8 and 22Mbit...

Can see there's improvement in the night video with the new firmware...

With old firmware

With new firmware

Ok thanks for the info

With the new firmware what is the bit rate

The bitrate on my o803 the specs say it's 21Mbit/sec

They may have a reason for running lower bitrate, heat and stability could be an issue

Can the Dashcam handle the heat if mounted it like the pic below, I'd be a tad worried about the GPS logger whether it was built in or one mounted along side.

I had a look the other day and it was about 33 Celsius out side and when I touched the black tint I couldn't hold my finger on it.
The clear glass was about 50% less heat.

What about one of yours,

I'll have to check and see what the actual temperature is, it gets pretty dam hot here.

It looks like I may have to get one yours then, I see the other brands say any where between 70-85C
