Street Guardian SG9663DC (DC = Dual Channel)

As long as the RTC is user-settable I don't mind. Or I could let it set, then unplug it.

the one thing turning GPS off does do is disable time sync
Speaking of GPS, I'd like to see an LED directly on GPS module. All GPS modules have "fix" output so no coding is necessary. The current icon is almost invisible.

LED on the GPS won't happen, planning to change the icon to something easier to see though

$399 (USD) would be my guess.

Ok .. I'll join in the guesswork and take a stab for the fun of it .. harsh.

rrp $AU 490 $US 350 (conversion rate minus $20)

On SALE or Promotion (say -10% AU)

$AU 450 $US 340 minus $20 = $US 320

* The minus $20 is cause we in AUS always pay more
* Includes 64GB SD card

I wish we had the same cost base as the US does

Same here in EU. Our “beloved“ tax-man collects up to 40-50% in total on different duties/vat/taxes compare to US import.

yeah unfortunately people often look at a USD price, go to www.xe.com and convert the prices and think that's what it should cost, I wish

I feel sorry about Brazil, where if I remember tax-man greediness is around 60% on import duties + some other charges etc. But EU is not so far from Brazil tax-man greed.

Shame about South America .. Top Tourist destination if it wasn't so corrupt and dangerous.

I couldnt tell but is there a seperate slot for front and back? Or is it just one card with the front and back in seperate folders?

I think i will wait for the dual camera /remote base unit, due to heat issues . Having all the recording circuits in the bigger front unit alone would add more internal heat plus the direct sun/heat ? My Mobius seems to be able to keep working although it gets very hot but my other Innovvs failed after a year .

the dual remote version will have the advantage of not having a lot of the electronics in the window, at times there can be more than 30°C difference between the front window and other parts of the interior during summer, that can make a big difference

Looks great guys!

Awaiting final conformation on price. Specifically for the 128GB ver in $US. I have a ton of 64GB cards, but this being dual channel/one SD. Recording time is gonna be half of what my 119S is with it's 64GB. Would love to keep the same amount with this new DC.

Been wanting a DC setup for a long time now, but never pulled the trigger to shell out almost $500 for a good kit. But I know SG's quality is pretty damn good and it's why I will be replacing my 119S even though I just got it a few months ago.

Don't know if I will be able to pre-order. My funds are all tied up until my first payday in July. But hopefully if orders are aval then. I'll pull the trigger.

Also, do we have any more night time test footage for the DC? Most footage has been daytime that I have found.

Sailing on a different tack for a moment 😉 Regards the future dual remote model, has technology with something like that moved us unto the realm of higher bitrates yet? That 'bottleneck' seems to be the main limitation with dual cams, and there would be less size constraints and heat problems with the remoted CPU. Heck, it could even be fan cooled to help performance.

Just my crazy brain wandering around on my first cup of coffee today 🙂
