Spirit 600 wing .
120 grams flying weight
450mAh 2s

5030 Gemfan

Looks like a really good speed envelope . This was it's maiden flight .. Really happy with it ..

A bit of background:
The Mavra Volia is a natural beach found on Chios island, Greece. It is made up of remains of volcanic lava from a long time ago, slowly eroded by the sea into rounded pebbles. The black color of the rocks and crystal clear water makes it a must see special place.

My little ANAFI was put to a real test flying here because of 2 major reasons:
1) extreme wind + extra powerful gusts.
2) WiFi jamming from a lot of GSM & other transmission towers.
It was a real adventure to fly it and get some footage and safely return, it was just a festival of "no signal" and "strong winds"

Nice ride.
My sister just got a e bike too, dont know which one, they are pretty restricted here as anything else

This one has the assist limited to 20MPH/32KMH. But it has enough gearing to get past that with your own power. I've not found it too restricting as I really wanted the assist to help with all the monster hills around here.

25 kmh are the max speed here for e bikes and scooters, 30 kmh and you got a moped,,,, and even if mopeds here are supposed to be driven like a bicycle in the same places like bicycles, then the moped require a license you can get when you are 16, a cycle do not require any license.

I am not aware of any E mopeds though the 30 kmh for the little mopeds and the 45 kmh for the ( drive like motorcycle moped ) are easy possible to make.

Same here, seems a silly limit since it is lower than my normal cycling speed on a non-assisted bike on the flat!
Another reason for leaving the EU, we will be able to increase it!

There are dongles and software to de-limit most systems but they cost at least $200 for a reputable solution if you're using one of the big motor makers like bosch/shimano/yamaha/brose. And you definitely want to do it in a way that it won't cause your warranty to be voided if service is needed.

I dont think you can do that here, just getting a bicycle light approved here is a task.
E bikes here i assume are type approved and probably tailored for the Danish market, big brother sure dont want his future tax payers to get hurt, so a kid here at 16 can get a 30 kmh moped, in most other countries around us what kids can drive there at 16 you have to be 18 and have a MC license.
And if you are 18 and just gotten your MC license, well you can not just go and buy a sweeet 600 CCM bike,,,, oooo no, first you have to drive a max 22 bhp bike for a while and then a little larger one before at 20 or 21 you can finally get what ever motorbike you want.
Where as i as a old guy, and probably just as bad a driver and any 18 YO kid, well i can take the MC license and go strait to a 1200 CCM motorcycle if i like to, CUZ age alone apparently make me a better biker

Everrything turn bad and 50 shades of black when socialists take the lead on things, and even conservatives here have strong socialist tendencies,,,, okay socialists are also conservative if and when it suit them.

It can be done here, we have a class between e-bikes and mopeds, but you do have to register, insure, etc. so it is not worth it. Do it in France and there is a €30,000 fine, 1 year in prison and loss of your driving license for 3 years!

Various electric utilities here in Vermont, including my provider Green Mountain Power, have been offering rebates on the purchase of eBikes. GMP is offering $300.00 towards the purchase of any bike over $500.00 The understanding about the purchase is that you intend to replace trips otherwise taken by automobile once you get the bike. It's got me thinking about it, except that I work out of a studio and office on my own property so I don't know yet if I quality. Maybe the 10 mile grocery and beer run into town counts. Lot's of serious hill climbing back up the mountain to my house!

... so I don't know yet if I quality.
Of course I don't know the details there, but my lovely accountant here says that anything that I use more than 25% of for business is legally business-related (if I wish to claim it that way). So find one of those 'U-store-it' places with a free month's rent deal and use the paperwork to prove your qualification. Just toss a junk screwdriver inside, lock the door, and it's now business tool storage :ROFLMAO: As soon as the power company says OK cancel the storage unit. Early cancellation might cost you something, but it's usually just a month's rent so maybe $40 spent to get a $300 check for a net $260 profit, or half of the cost of your cheap E-Bike

(Gotta watch the details on these storage places. Mine requires fire/theft insurance and a disc-type lock, both of which they sell at ginormous prices, but you're not told about that before you sign the contract unless you ask them for a "total price including everything the contract requires" ahead of time  Guess who found out the hard way?:cry: )

Do it! If you get a bike with a proper pedal assist system (with torque sensor), it's really great cardio. I find myself on the eBike way more than when I was a road bike rider. That means more exercise over a longer distance. And I’m discovering way more trails than ever before.

Are they reliable?
The ones I've purchased? Yes. I've not had any reliability issues with any of them. I just fine-tuned what I liked and did not like with each one. My first one, the Aventon Pace 500 was really fast (unlockable to assist to 32MPH) but the pedal assist system was unrefined because it used a basic cadence system that used the pedals like an on/off switch. I still miss my second one, the Orbea Gain F30. It was light weight and just felt like a normal bike when the assist was turned off. But it still used a low-powered rear hub motor that didn't have the power to help that much with the hills that I have to contend with. With the Yamaha that I have now...it definitely feels like a keeper. The middrive is really torquey and can leverage the rear gearing for powering up hills. The torque-sensor based pedal assist pretty much reads your mind and will apply power proportionally to the effort you put into pedaling and the power is instantaneous. I prefer drop bars so I can have multiple hand positions for long rides. I'm very happy with it.

So on Sunday we set up a track that most of us had flown a year ago - the 2019 Texas qualifiers course. Someone suggested it would be good to compare to how we did the year before, so I put together this video. I think I've improved a little bit...

also, my son (8) was with us, and I let him drive my rc truck (with throttle turned way so he could handle it and to extend battery life) while we were flying. He had a blast, esp when one other pilot buzzed the truck at high speed :p if you look closely, you can see the truck driving around in the video

Got a new bike :)
Already named it "Bumblebee" due to the color scheme and noise it makes with the fat tires.
It has a high torque planetary gear 500W motor, 12.8Ah 48V battery and if you "tweak" the settings you can easy remove the 25km/h and get it up to 40km/h.

This should have been a pleasant traffic & speed test for the Lankeleisi XT750 Plus, but the weather didn't cooperate so I did test top speed and water resistance while trying to outrun the rain!

Need some decent headlights, tail lights, brake lights, and a motorcycle crash helmet for those speeds!

I have a stock dual LED headlight, added an extra hi power 1500lm headlight and two rear COB LED stop lights on each side of the forks, it gets OK visibility. As for helmet I do have a full face motorcycle one but usually i don't use it in the city / traffic :)
