I'm trying to find the ideal mounting position for my U1000 but the front camera system that does the lane keeping, etc on my 2018 Ford Edge is massive, so I'm running into a few issues, I either have to:
- bring the camera down from the top of the windshield by a few inches to avoid the lane assist camera module which expands out towards the top of the windshield but then I run into the issue of getting like 4-5 inches of the dash in the footage
- move the camera to the right so the camera doesn't capture part of the lane assist camera module, but then the footage is well off centre compared to the centre of the car
- install the camera to the top and relatively centre, which fixes both previous issues, but ends up with the camera capturing part of the lane assist module's plastic casing
Anyone have ideas on which would be best?
