Installed the new firmware twice today, it’s messed it all up, am I the only one?

PC viewer closes if I attempt to look at a file.

Camera not connected to the cloud. Will connect after restart for roughly 60secs but then disconnects.

Try to select the settings in WiFi and I get ‘the request timed out’.

Try to view live and I get ‘please check the connection status of the camera’.

Can’t do anything.

My install went flawlessly, how did you update the firmware?
Did you download the firmware to your SD card (that you just previously formatted) and then plug it into your dashcam?
Or did you try to do the upgrade via mobile connection?
 
Firstly by the app. Secondly with the card in my PC. Both results the same.
 
My mistake, my last update was 1.005.
Didn't notice a 1.006 came out today yet.

I'll update mine tomorrow and let you know if I run into any problems.
Though, maybe I'll wait until a couple other people chime in with their results.

Maybe 3rd times a charm though?
You should definitely retry using your PC, the mobile app can be wonky for updates I hear.

Firstly, make sure you have the up-to-date viewer. V1.19 for PC / V1.20 for MAC.
Download the firmware for your specific camera and unzip it.
Insert your dashcam SD card into your computer and format it using the BlackVue Viewer, it should format to FAT32 automatically (Select MS-DOS (FAT) on MAC)
Copy (unzipped) BlackVue update folder to the (now) empty SD card.
Insert SD card into dashcam and turn it on, your dashcam should apply the update and reboot.
Once done it should start recording again, I think you may hear voice prompts saying it's updating and when it's finished. (I think - may depend on your cameras voice settings)

Cross your fingers for it to work successfully! :nailbiting:

Yea, i’d hold off maybe at least until they get out of bed in Korea and resolve issues or better still, it’s just me.

No avail! I think as I can't access any file by any means, I'm effectively without a dashcam! 3 different methods of loading firmware now. Open to suggestions...
 
Noticed my red 'rec' led is on constant and blue 'gps' is flashing full time. No reply from BlackVue yet. I wonder if there's a way to re-install 1.005 firmware?

Sure, I just sent it over.

I have it all ready to go on the SD card, just gotta wait until I go home to put the card in and hopefully successfully update!
 
No avail. I wonder if it’s the App then which was updated as well.
I don’t know if I can roll that back.
Really surprised i’ve not heard back from BlackVue support yet.
I’m out of ideas - I guess I haven’t owned it long enough.
