For 1440 there is no 60FPS in the firmware.

I checked in the properties section of my videos (as opposed to the camera properties), it shows 1080P @ 60fps. Maybe I was mistaken in thinking I'd selected the highest resolution. Will have to re-visit the resolution settings tomorrow and see if 1440P supports 60fps. If not, maybe it's restricted to 1080P.

According to your video above, there is no 1440p @ 60fps setting. Only 1080p @ 60fps.

The settings video above was shot on the old firmware. There are different beta versions of the 1.0 firmware as denoted by the number preceding the 1.0. The camera firmware has been upgraded since I shot that section of the video, hence the added text. It's easy to alter the demo video though if 1440P is still 30 fps. The hardest part is the 1/2hr upload time! The text removal takes seconds.

thanks @c4rc4m for the detailed walkthrough. Viofo always puts through solid products with long firmware life cycle support too, so will be interesting to see how this model shakes out
