Seeing I kept piggy backing off of @rcg530 threads I guess it was time to make my own thread.
This is the latest. We have some more comparisons coming up in coming weeks with Viofo A139 Pro being compared to 70MAI A810 HDR....
Sneak Peek
This is unlisted on You Tube and exclusive for Dash Cam Talk.
Will go Live on Saturday with some tweaks
Tunnel Test
Guess which one is which
A139 Pro vs N4 Pro vs 70 Mai A810 vs U3000
Please note I had audio turned off on 70 Mai A810 so i was not 100% sure if i got timing correct. Also the U3000 was in 1440P 60 FPS. Hence why this was not final production. mic now turned on A810 and U3000 set to 4K. New videos will be released
Camera 1 (Top): 70mai A810 / A LOT of dropped frames in the video from this front camera.
Camera 2: Vantrue N4 Pro
Camera 3: Thinkware U3000
Camera 4 (Bottom): VIOFO A139 Pro
The top camera's video shows the vehicles "jumping" a lot which might indicate dropped frames in the raw/original video or it was a 60 fps video which is now in a combined 30 fps video and the video editing software dropped frames to keep the time synced.
This is parking mode motion detection test. Now for people who use Viofo on a frequent basis. I am sure you know by now that Auto Event Detection is not recommended. But at least it actually works.
Now some challenges i did notice is the following
Viofo A139 Pro
-Goes down to 2560 x 1440P in auto event detection ( Not sure if this is a firmware glitch or not)
Vantrue N4 Pro
-The background looks great but up close does not really give you anything more
Thinkware U3000
-without HDR owns all other brands in motion detection
70 Mai A810
-Would not even record because the AI motion detection rendered me not a threat or something. Maybe I needed to be holding an object in my hand or something. Either way the money I spent buying the A810 is making it seem why it is the cheapest.
