Well you certainly confirmed the time constant is accurate. The spec is 90 +/- 10 seconds, the worst result was right at 1:40 @ Vcutoff = 12.0 V.
It looks like you started the timer a couple seconds after the voltage was adjusted to cutoff but who would notice that 🙂

I got the new A119M Pro with HK6 Kit

I do not need the Parkingmode, so i plugged the red "Batt" wire into cars ignition Fuse.

The black wire isconnected to car ground
The yellow wire is not connected to anything

The Cam is not powering on when ignition is on, it does nothing

Is this normal or is the HK6 defective ?

With USB-C the Cam works fine...

Both the red and yellow wires should be connected to the same ignition fuse to have it power up and record only in driving recording mode. You can also connect the HK6 red wire to constant power and the yellow wire to switched/ignition power with the A119M Pro parking mode set to off. Both configurations will get you the mode you're looking for [driving recording only].

You should get a faster boot up time if you connect the HK6 red wire to constant power and the yellow wire to switched/ignition power with the A119M Pro parking mode set to off.

See this old post

My Car Brand is very special about the fuses, There are nearly no informations about the fuses, so i have to figured out on my own.
The Schematics of the Fuses is a big secret...

Renault Rafale 4X4 300

But iam going forward, slow but forward.

Why not just use the CLA if you don't care about parking mode? Your boot time will be a little longer but it will be easier and with no off state parasitic drain.
Why did you get an HK6?

I didn't know HK6 came with A119M.
CLA is the Cigarette Lighter Adapter that usually comes with a dashcam and plugs into a 12V port in car.
It's a quick and easy way to power dashcam if you don't care about parking mode.

ah ok. i dont want use cla of optical reasons. i want to have it as clean as possible with no visible wires.

Does this link help?

Rafale fuse box

I would guess fuse 10 (tow bar socket) and 14 (accessory socket) or 15(luggage compartment)?

Why are there 4 wires on the 5 V output side of the HK6 voltage converter module?
I have not dissected an HK4 Hardwire cable but from what I've read its just 3 wires (Vbus, Gnd, CC1)
HK6 broadcasts 12v voltage data with bluetooth so its not that.
All I can think of is "future expansion"
Inquiring minds gotta know 🤓

I'm not a fan of the HK6 (due to the larger cable diameter and slightly increased power consumption compare to HK4), so I don't have it.
Therefore it is just my assumption, that the fourth wire is probably intended to transmit cut-off voltage setting, that is based on the battery voltage level (not time) for hybrid parking.
I'm not sure if it's also used to display the battery voltage, I think that function is based solely on Bluetooth.

@VIOFO-Support

1. Why are there 4 wires on the output (camera side) of the HK6 vs the HK4 that only has 3 wires?
2. Why do you call the menu settings in the A329 camera that work with the HK6 Hybrid Parking mode "cutoff voltage" when it's primary purpose is to set the Hybrid Parking transition Voltage?
If it's being used only in Normal Parking mode, the camera menu cutoff voltage would be redundant with the HK6 cutoff function.

2. Why do you call the menu settings in the A329 camera that work with the HK6 Hybrid Parking mode "cutoff voltage" when it's not actually "cutting off" the camera"? This is confusing and conflicts with the same term used to describe the physical cutoff voltage switch that actually does shutoff camera voltage. Unless I'm missing something it would be more clear to call it "Hybrid Parking Voltage".
When used with "hybrid parking mode", the "cut-off" voltage setting is the transition point from the "normal parking mode" [AED, Time-Lapse, or Low Bitrate] to the low power impact detection. When using one of the normal parking modes [not hybrid] , the "cut-off" voltage setting actually will turn off the dash camera when the input voltage to the HK6 goes below that voltage level.

That makes more sense but since it's dual use, it would be better to call it "Hybrid Parking or Cutoff voltage" or better yet just call it "Hybrid Parking Voltage" since that's how it would normally be used.
I would think anybody that buys an HK6 vs HK4 wants it for Hybrid Parking mode.

Why bother having a setting for cutoff voltage in the menu when the HK6 also supports this function? Its redundant.

For example, you could set the HK6 to 11.8V as a lower bound cut-off. For day-to-day driving in winter you might want to set the dashcam voltage cut-off to 12.0V. The HK6 may be located in a hard-to reach location, so adjusting the cut-off using the app is easier for some users.

I would think anybody that buys an HK6 vs HK4 wants it for Hybrid Parking mode.
I would choose the HK6 over the HK4 for flexibility - being able to use hybrid parking if I want to, or go directly to low power impact detection to maximise the duration of parking coverage.

@VIOFO-Support Does a longer cable for the HK6 exist? The one circled in the green.
My current install is a little tight when needing to move things in the trunk. Would like to have a little more slack.
Thanks!
