They're doing just fine.
All other manufacturers have been playing catch up since 2019.

I find Vantrue holds their own just fine against Viofo. Vueroid (never tested) seems to get high praise, too. Catch up is a game that can't be played forever. To remain on the chase, one has to stay in the lead, and VIofo must remain innovative.

I fully support Cloud for BlackVue, Thinkware, Vueroid, 70mai, Vantrue.
Just not VIOFO.

USA government agencies, (police, courts, etc) are prohibited from downloading / installing 3rd party software to their department issued laptops & computers by their IT departments.
That's why investigations, and court litigation involving evidence is stored, transferred, and viewed on physical media like VHS tapes & DVDs & CDs.
When I was in government service I was prohibited from taking photographs of evidence with my agency issued iPhone, and had to use Digital Camera that stored the photos on those little tiny CD's to be submitted into evidence.
This is because if defense lawyers found out we took evidence photographs, or videos with our iPhone, they would subpoena the actual iPhone into evidence, and we would loose it for however long the case was.

You're stating the obvious here. I gave police the video on a spare MicroSD card. Clearly, I wasn't turning over my dashcams. Also, I gave them other evidence on a USB thumb drive. Logically, you aren't going to turn over your phone, dashcam, etc unless the police decide to take it. Hence, placing evidence on other physical media.

You're 100% wrong on the second part about entering evidence into trial. Here's a video from an "American Court System" in California explaining the process. Laptops can be used for presenting media. We don't live in the 1990s or early 2000s anymore. Nobody is wheeling a cart with a TV + VCD / DVD Player into a court room these days...

Vantrue holds their own just fine against Viofo

When I tested original Vanture E1 (IMX335) 2022 against original A119 Mini (IMX335) 2022 I said in my review it felt like Vanture was 2-3 years behind VIOFO in terms of development.
When I tested original Vantrue S1 Pro (IMX675) 2023 against A119 Mini 2 (IMX675) 2023 I said in my review it felt like Vanture was 1-2 years behind VIOFO in development.
When I tested E1 Pro (IMX678) 2025 against A119M Pro (IMX678) 2025 it felt like Vantrue was less than 1 year behind VIOFO in terms of development.
Now that we have Vanture E1 Pro S coming out next month Maybe Vanture will finally close the gap.

Was this the SD Card in the camera at the time it filmed the incident, or was this a just a copy?
Any good defence lawyer will argue any copy of the original incident / evidence has been modified / adulterated and should be invalidated, and excluded from evidence.
A good defence lawyer will most likely subpoena the original SD Card that was in the camera at the time of filming the incident.

Image quality is not the issue.
The issue is the original physical piece evidence, and it’s chain of custody as it makes its way into evidence submission.
