Vueroid S1-4K Infinite - Testing/Review - RCG

This video contains day and night video samples from five dash cameras [including the VUEROID S1-4K Infinite]. I show how well each front and rear camera captures license plates.

That rear camera would really benefit from a polarising filter.

This video contains daytime driving video samples from four 4K UHD front dash cameras that use the Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 image sensor.

I captured some frame grabs from three 4K rear cameras and four 2K rear cameras.

A YouTube short with daytime footage from two S1-4K dash cameras. One has firmware 1.3.11 and the other has the recently released 1.4.2 firmware.

Another YouTube short with daytime footage from a S1-4K with firmware v1.3.11 and another with firmware v1.4.2. I used the new HUB app "Guide" lens alignment line feature to adjust the front lenses so the horizon is within the band on the live view screen.

I have not updated my S1-4K thread with info from the 1.4.2 firmware update that was released back in March 2026.
  • Firmware Update Notes (v1.4.2)

    • Improved image quality of HDR + IPC and Normal recording to enhanced license plate readability.
    • Added Privacy Mode to disable the interior camera and voice recording by long-pressing the View Mode button.
    • Added “Auto” option for Low Power Mode Entry Time.
(Automatically enters ELPM when the power-off voltage is detected.)
    • Enabled HDR Timer support in IPC (Infinite Plate Capture) mode.
    • Added GPS signal strength check.
    • Added parking event protection notification.
    • Added guidance pop-up when selecting 60fps resolution during initial setup.
    • Added Back button support on the initial setup.
    • Renamed battery cut-off voltage setting to “Power Off Voltage.”
    • Renamed battery cut-off time setting to “Low Power Mode Entry Time.”
    • Improved system stability after SD card initialization.
    • Fixed menu text typos and corrected some translations (Spanish).
The firmware can be installed over-the-air [OTA] using the VUEROID HUB app or you can download the firmware file from the VUEROID website. Follow the instructions on the website to copy the firmware file to the dash camera's memory card.

it seem cannot find this new firmware in vueroid hub app

When you connect the HUB app to the dash camera over a WiFi connection it should detect that the installed firmware is below 1.4.2 and prompt you to download/install the 1.4.2 firmware.

The HUB app [currently] detects when a new firmware is available for the most recently WiFi connected dash camera when you first start the HUB app [before connecting over WiFi to the dash camera]. If the HUB app downloads the firmware update in this manner, it should prompt you to push/upload the firmware update to the dash camera the next time HUB app connects to that dash camera over a WiFi connection.

What firmware version does this S1-4K currently have installed?
What platform [iOS/Android] HUB app is being used?
What is the HUB app version [More > About App > App Version]?

Try updating your device through the Vueroid Hub app settings.
If your firmware version is lower than 1.4.2.
