My 2015 next to a 2012
That would be me far left in the back, but mine is covered in ladders and sunshine, not snow. 84 Ford E-150, 5.0L V8 040" over, towing cam, 320cfm 2 bbl carb, HD cooling and oiling system, + 1 leaf rear springs and 1200lb airshocks, GVW on the average workday sans materials ~6000 lbs, 40 gal fuel capacity, avg 10 MPG. GPS, CB, 2M/440MHz Ham rig, Weather alert radio, and every tool needed for a crew to fix, remodel, or build almost everything "House". Chassis has 330K miles, engine and 4sp auto-trans 110K. Custom overhead console w/30A 12V power feed also extending to rear. Going to drive it for another 10-30 years because I can fix anything on it myself and I do. With the 1 tool box carried with it, I can dissemble and fix everything on it. Oh, it also has a G1Wc now too, alarm system coming soon when I get the switches ordered then a new coat of paint.
The old workhorse earns my living reliably so I'm not going to "fix" that by buying anything newer which won't last as long but will cost a lot more to buy and repair. I built it from a shell, I made it just the way I wanted it, and I still love it for my work vehicle. It's the last of the rock-solid vehicles from Detroit.
