What causes my Garmin Mini 2 to record?

Hello,
I am trying to use my Garmin Mini 2 to record the inside of my tryck 24 hours a day. It is hard wired via an always on power point plug. when i drive it will only record a single 30 second clip for the entire 15 min trip.

Sorry, original question. with constant power, does the mini 2 record by visual movement or by camera vibration? thanks again.

Inside of the truck? Disable motion detection or parking mode. I think they go to standby when no objects are moving. So a inside facing camera might be classified as inactivity.
