Understandable, but testing with the Cigar plug can rule out a potential issue with the hard wire kit, you be surprised how often the use of a not ideal ground point have caused problem for folks over the years.
Just a drive or two should do it if your disconnects are that frequent.

I am not going to waste a $100 just to try out with a cigar plug because that’s what the technician is going to charge

You certainly don't need to spend that much money just to plug the dash cam into the cigarette lighter. You can simply unplug the current power source and get the included cigarette lighter plug. Plug the cigar plug into your car's port, and plug the other side into the dash cam. During the process, you'll just need to bear with some cable exposure.

First of all, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Since the issue also occurs while driving, we needed to first confirm whether the same problem appears when using a different power source, in order to eliminate any inconvenience during product use.
We have recorded a video showing how to connect the device using the cigarette lighter cable and shared it with you via mail. I believe it will be easy to understand.

You should be able to just pull the plug at the system that currently power it VIA the hard wire kit you have gotten installed, and then temporarily try and run with the cigar port power source.

Some times even the most dedicated fail, i am myself in another hobby blowing 400 BAR rated hoses with just 260 BAR pressure, brand new hoses last just minutes.
Clearly there is something wrong as i can not be so unlucky or inept in the use that i gotten 2 faulty ones, one lasting maybe 10 hours of use and its replacement 2 minutes.

So i have notified seller again, and asked them to test some of the hoses they have.
And as i can not be without i have ordered another brand hose from another place.

If you try the 12 V power source and the problem go away, clearly there is a issue with either the hard wire kit or the install of it, this mean you and the brand can proceed with more targeted solutions, so you can be under way with what you paid for,and functionality you expect to have.

I have been in this hobby for well over a decade, malfunctioning hard wire kits i can not say is something i heard very much off in any brand, and i don't think vueroid is any different even if they are new players in the game.

This on / off behavior is also seen by the people that would use a in CAR USB plug to power a dashcam as these build in ports are often under powered, i can not count how many times we have tried to help some guy with issues, and then 2-3 forum pages into the process find out he have been creative in the powering of the system ( it could also be a multi port 12 V USB charger as he / she wanted to have ports for other stuff too )
Anyway finding out that, getting the person to just try the provided power source have always cleared their problem.

These Vueroid systems ( no personal experience with them ) i think are 12 V so not possible to make that mistake in powering them, hence why i am assuming it might be a issue with the install of the hard wire kit, and here a less than optimal GND source is often the culprit, even for seasoned installers.

If your 12 V ACC wire was on a circuit that might come and go as some will these days on modern cars, i would assume as these are often timed, you would see a pattern repeating with the system going off / on at regular / same intervals.

The S1 4K is dual voltage. The recommended power source is 12V, using the wiring harness from the fuse box to the left-most plug on the GPS module. The S1 4K can also be powered via USB at 5V using the USB port on the right side of the dashcam case. But, as you mentioned, not all cars can provide a consistent USB voltage, so the 12V method is preferred. During testing, I have powered 5 different S1 4K with the USB port connected to the auto-dimming rear view mirror with a Dongar adapter and had zero issues. However, as you noted, a USB port built into an automobile console may not supply adequate power.

This situation with the OP's dashcam is perplexing. I have five S1 4Ks that I have tested the 12V and 5V sides with varying voltages and amps, and cross-tested the GPS modules. Not once did any of my S1 4K units fail or behave like the unit the OP has. But, manufacturing faults do happen, so it will be interesting to see what the problem is isolated to.

Dave said , it turns off / on . we can think from it like below(possiblility)
1. there is some power problem : so the S1 is really turns off and on cause ther power source problem.
2. Some uncerain reason make the S1 reboot . ( currupt SD, or unexpected configuration and corrupt the internal nand flash)
: he said " druing driving tunr on / off " , during parking mode some time working a few hours or a few minute , during parking operation if S1 reboot, it won't wokring again , until car turns on)
: and Dave said he had done factory reset , it mean some unexpected configuration which cause reboot may be cleared.
That's why we recommend using Cirgar plus for clearfy the root cause.

When 26 was released, it was a problem child from the start. Many users noticed right away that they had issues with CarPlay. Soon, we found out it was with multiple iPhones having issues with WiFi and Cell. Some users noticed the signal strength indicator on their phones would go up and down, and during one of the downs, the disconnect would occur. It was weird. 26.3 is in beta, and 26.4 is in the works. It looks like 26.3 has a few feature fixes/enhancements, but we don't yet know about the Wi-Fi signal issue.

I am sorry to hear you are having the same 26 problems. I know a few of my friends also have the same issues. If you have a family member with an Android device, perhaps you can get them to temporarily install the VIOFO app on their phone and then test your A329s. You will at least know for certain you are experiencing issues from the 26 release.

My IPHONE IS TRASH. Now that Apple is going to GOOGLE Intelligence its becoming very apparent it may be time to journey on from my overpriced camera phone... I may toughen it out for a while longer but honestly I have had to use my PIXEL 5 quite a lot due to IOS challenges.
