Zenfox T3 Triple channel dash cams free test invitation, limited quantity

Got my car parked outside now. Time to see if the thermal temperature issue has been resolved in the new firmware. Nice warm day to see what happens.

Until i moved to this time i have never experienced a power outage, but then moving here it seem to be the norm that one day around this time of the year there is a 15 min outage.
And i am pretty sure it is related to the city's annual " culture" week ( beer / getting drunk culture ) i just can not figure out why they have to do that, it is like they need to hook something up, just dont get why i have to suffer from that as it is only downtown the culture are on.
And why cant they put in a socket and a switch so they dont have to blackout the whole town again

😉 No one likes power outages, having to reset the clocks, etc. My whole point when jokingly moaning about resetting the camera.

Nice warm day

Indeed 26 degree's here, and barely any wind moving, and i got grilled pretty good yesterday as all our work was outdoor.
And as every one know no real man have / use creams / lotions and what not, soap ( check ) shampoo ( check ) deodorant ( check ) shaving foam ( check )

I never owned a digital clock, or for that matter a VCR / anything else with a clock in it, always used a regular alarm clock to get up in the morning.

Park your car out in the sun. See what happens on the heat issue. Mine is sitting outside at the moment sun bathing!

Still i am going for a drive now to install this new FW, and then on the return trip oick up a pizza as my chilli account was not fulfilled at my friends yesterday.

mine are always in the sun where it is parked, or at least until 3-4 hours before sunset, its like a blast furnace making nice Bofors steel.

+1. Let's see what happens this go around. I have proven that once the car is removed from sun and the camera cools off, the rear and interior camera work again. So either it's a firmware setting to prevent overheating or lack of cooling issue.

If you are going to try parking mode i will not get my hopes up too high, i dont use parking mode so the car temperature are just a discomfort to me personally.

Pain in the butt to go through and set things back up.
Resetting to default is all part of the routine of camera testing. Sometimes I'll swap the FW more than once in a day to check certain features.

For me personally, I can't promote a camera unless it properly supports parking mode. I consider this an essential feature in any mid to high end dash camera in 2020. Capturing the action while driving is important, but not everything happens while you're in the car. The point of parking mode is to capture the A-Hole that might damage your vehicle (back into it) and decides to take off.

I really love the concept of the T3's interior camera, and believe the feature sets it apart from the competition. Unfortunately, until the overheating problem is resolved, a 2 Channel with Parking Mode is superior in my books.

It is very rare that it is needed, should really be tested with and without a default reset since customers will do firmware updates both ways.

If you are going backwards with firmware then it may be necessary, and customers should never be doing that anyway.

I doubt any camera can do parking modes on days like today if the car pare parked in the sun.

They all have their limits, and note that in Denmark the sun is still shining directly on the camera at midday in the hottest part of the year, it has not gone above the roof leaving the camera in shade as it does for many cars at more southerly latitudes.

How is your sticky pad holding on?

My Viofo A129 Duo works without fail. I had it running in park mode on 30C days and it never misses a beat after sitting many many hours. Sticky Pads and All. Those 3M are like super glue.

Viofo A129 Duo = A+ in Heat. Still recording in park mode as expected. No Failures.

ZenFox T3 = Failed again with new firmware. Front Camera only. Rear and Interior stopped recording.

Cameras run side by side. I've yet to see any heat conditions that have caused my Viofo A129 Duo to stop recording in the 1.5 years I've owned it.
