Tried 6Nw, the 'button only' beep setting still has a start up beep. The only way to eliminate the start up beep is to do all beeps off, which also mutes alert beeps such as 'no microSD card' or 'not recording'.

I have my A119S hidden behind the rearview mirror, and silencing the start up beep would be useful so others driving my car (eg mechanics) don't know it is there. However, I would still like to preserve the alert beeps (missing microSD or 'not recording').

Busy time of year.

Hopefully I got most lighting conditions for 6Nw. I think I'm still a fan of the more vivid look, with a higher saturation (Sat118 from before I believe). But the brightness is much improved than on 6Nv. Things aren't so blown out. Overall though, 6Nw is looking good.

Very good assorted 6Nw footage, interesting your Lens2 is best using Soft sharpness, its almost too sharp even at lowest level. You should post a warning not to drink Beer while viewing "Night - Beached Whale" now I must clean my keyboard and monitor. Great idea, Totally agree we need one more Beep Sound option = Startup Sound Off
My MODs can't add items but can possibly modify an existing Sound option, will have a look at it later next month. If enough owners send VIOFO requests for MENU changes they make changes.

Created new A119S - Beta version 6Nw & 6Nw Vivid , See post #1 of thread for details and ChangeLog.
These MODs all utilize tighter Sharpness range on all 3 levels. As requested added Vivid colour version for Holiday Season.

Recommend using newest STABLE Modified Firmware. The frequent Beta versions offer a wide variety of IQ quality some find useful, especially if your Lens has poor focus or you prefer vivid color saturation suggest trying Beta 6Nwv.

Thanks for the Beta 6Nw Sharpness Comparisons, nice clear crisp footage at high speeds, good example of how tight the 3 levels now are instead of one too high and one too low, the downside to this MOD is for owners with poor Lens focus since its not strong enough. The flexibility of modified firmware fills the gap and all these MODs will remain online, others can request custom modifications.

Thanks for the Lens1+2 side-by-side 6Nw Beta comparison footage, great examples of how much more halo is appears using brighter Lens2. This MOD is better on Lens1. Based on these clips will slightly lower the sharpness.

Welcome to the Forum,
For hot climates use the lower Bitrate Stable MODs, recommend 2Vf. Return to online Archive regularly for newer Stable versions, about to release another one very soon.

Thanks for A119S Soft footage on Lens 1+2, these clips confirm 6Nw Low/Soft sharpness level is too high and Lens2 doesn't like it. Try the Alpha 6Nx and let me know if Soft level is acceptable.

Last video clip file corruption Fix
Common issue when VIOFO Dashcam isn't used for 14-21 days <or> if SuperCapacitors have failed and require replacement <or> if memory card is removed while red REC button is still lit.
Suggest connecting A119/P/S to 5 volt smartphone/tablet charger indoors for 1 hour allowing it to record video on memory card, enable Parking Mode for testing to save storage space. The point is to allow Capacitors and tiny RTC battery to charge (RTC normally takes 4 hours). After that power cycle dashcam by disconnecting power cable waiting 12 seconds then reconnecting power cable.
Remember to watch the REC button light to see if its staying on 4-6 seconds longer after disconnecting power cable.
Always wait for red REC button light to go off before ejecting or inserting microSD memory card.

In the mod, would it be possible to have the Button Beep Only have Startup Sound off and all other sounds enabled? I think that's the native behavior of the stock Viofo firmware (forgot which version I was using before).

Currently the only way using Stock or MOD firmware to disable Startup Beep is to turn all Beeps off. In older stock FW this feature didn't work as intended, interesting project to find the version that only disabled Startup. Let me know if you find it, probably v2.60 or 2.40.

VIOFO will add the Beep Sound > Startup Off option just can't predict when in 2019 it will be released. I actually needed this option last week and was forced to use All Off instead.
