well, i figured out the problem. it was already installed properly. the wires are loose inside the connector that goes to the power magic pro box. if i move it, the power cuts off, or on, depending on where it's being moved. as long as i dont touch it, it'll stay on, but with bumps on the...

the two spare routers i have are a linksys wrt54g and a d-link dir-655. from what you're saying, it should be possible to use these. i tried it with them the other day, but i must be doing something wrong because it won't connect. i'll give it another try. thanks.

yea, ive noticed that. it seems that blackvue set it up so that the wifi only allows one device to connect to it a time. maybe the extender would count as one of the connected devices, so then a phone or computer wouldn't be able to connect at the same time.

i did what trash739 said, and i'm now able to copy files, but it will only allow me to copy to internal storage, not my microsd card. i set the path to /storage/extSdCard, but it still wont copy to the right place. im on a note 2 with 4.1.2 and blackvue app v 1.32
