Yes you do Then open the viewer and play with the setting to your satisfaction

Thanx for the good work!

I'm actually not 100% satisfied with fw 1.1.1. I think the image is more pixelated/grainy than in 1.0.5 and the contrast/brightness is not perfect. Maybe I can do some changes in config to make it better?

When will the translation be configured as you like
AVB=custom, you have set?

The exposure is good , I set up to max
The AWB, I set to normal
I do not know how VDR can know day or night for bright setting.

thanks. one other question. what do i do with the config-custom.ini? do i rename that to config.ini and remove the original config.ini? or do both config files get used somehow?

i cant seem to figure out how to change the date/time on this. its showing as january 1, 1970, and the time isnt right either. i set my timezone to los angeles, ca, but its still not right.

Just one problem for my my time GMT is not correct
is Switzerland is 20h une the DR500GW is 22h
I select Europe/Zurich for my GMT is not work :-(

Connect to the wifi of the camera. Navigate in browser to 193.168.8.1. Click reset GPS and then reboot. That's what worked for me. Your battery is probably dead. I charged mine for 6 hours straight and nothing happened. Everytime the camera turns off, it goes back to the time where you reset the GPS. I opened it up and measured it with my voltmeter and its 0.000 volts so I ordered a new one.

Blackvue 500 arrived today!
Directly installed Mios firmware (thanks mio!)

Does anyone know how to change the time? Mine is wrong (+2 hours)

I think there is no built in "battery". It could be a capacitor.
Did you check that?

Could you please explain how you opened the camera? This will help me and maybe others.

(Some little mistake: you wrote 193 instead of 192 ... just to avoid confusing others because then they dont were able to connect)


@Mio:

Now there are 2 configuration of volume. one in original config (config.ini) and one in your config (config-custom.ini). camera uses the volume of original config (config.ini).
Whats the difference or is it a mistake?
(Is the "%" ok?
Volume=95%
or should it be "Volume=95"
in original config its "VOLUME=83" ... without "%")


Is there a fast boot option?

For the right time, you need to download the correct time zone in the folder citytime
clear the record folder, turn on the DVR and find gps

From where can I download the file for citytime? In your folder there is only moskow.

Could you please check my question for the "percent" of the volume setting? I think there should be no "%". But you know better.
