70mai Firmware Update (changing from Chinese to English)

Latest EU firmware is 1.07. please see screenshots in my previous post. I have marked with red colour step by step what to clik/tap in your app. My phone is XZ Premium Android 9.0.

Well, no luck. App says that I'm up to date with 1.0.5 😕

wawu1991, Can you download and upload firmware 1.0.7 for the ww version? She is in a folder MiDriveApp\ota or MiDriveDashApp\ota. Thx

Artur please try to update your camera manually.
1. Clear your SD card.
2. Copy Firmware 1.0.7 EU on SD card (file SD_CarDV.bin)
3. Put it (SD Card) in camera and plug the power in.
4. Wait a little bit. (do not unplug the power source)
5. Your camera is ready.

Thery should change the name of one of their dashcams, I can see people trying to update on the wrong one and turning it into a mini brick 😉 The firmware numbers for the two are very similar.................... or at least make it crystal clear with accomanying pics

  • Record with sound
  • Turn off Wi-Fi
  • Turn on Wi-Fi

  1. Take out TF card and insert it to your computer (or using a USB converter to connect computer).
  2. Download the file named SD_CardDV.bin to the root directory of TF card.
  3. Insert the TF card and keep the power cable is charging.
  4. The device will automatically upgrade. DO NOT discharge until the voice prompt “Update succeeded” is over.

Thanks for the update but at least my voice control in English does not work for me.
 
1.0.6 does not work English voice too?
 
I have returned to firmware 1.0.6 and if the voice commands work 50% of the time, but thank you very much.

I have one issue. I do not know if others encountered it, but my camera randomly stops recording with voice. I know this because it says it also in English 🙂 And indeed if I check in the options page Sound record is OFF !
I thought it was related to Chinese voice commands, maybe from the surrounding sounds something could be "Record without sound" in Chinese... But the same issue is present also now, when voice recognition is in English :-(
This morning I decided to turn off voice recognition from phone app to see if the issue still appear.

Anybody have the same issue ? Anybody knows how to fix it ?
 
Anyone know how to fix the TF card aged bug?

I have been updating the firmware to latest version and all the version having same bug.

I tested Samsung & Sandisk also same issue after some times of usage.
 
If the card is worn you should but another one. I don't think you can do anything else about it.
