Anyone else face this problem? I ordered my unit from gearbest. Got it today and connected with the gps module. The unit wouldn't turn on and smelt like smoke. Then I connected without GPS and everything worked. The GPS unit smelt like burnt. And the camera doesn't turn on with the GPS unit. Is the gps unit gone?

No idea but if you smell burning, something is burning.
We're you using supplied charger?
You probably are better off using the flat non GPS mount as many just turn GPS off anyway but sounds like GPS module is toasted.

Sorry to hear that, if the camera body still works, not a big problem.
You can open the GPS module for checking and still in warranty, contact gearbest first for help, a new GPS module replacement can solve the issue.
