@BCHobbyist Do you know if there is an ribbon cable extension available that goes from the circuit board to the lens? I'm looking into a DIY project for the Viofo A119.

Any help is much appreciated.
The current Lens Module flex ribbon cable is : 28pin /0.50mm pitch / 15mm width / 5cm length / one-sided. ( 99% sure of 0.50mm pitch )
recommend ordering gold pinned flex cables, for DIY Projects tinned connectors will work.

eBay cost for 6inch flex ribbon cable = $10

Not sure where these other Lens Module ribbon cable lengths estimates are coming from but if you want real world estimate disassemble any laptop and measure the webcam camera ribbon cable back to motherboard. They all use non-shielded flat flex ribbon cables up to 60cm away on 17inch laptops. Since the Dashcam uses a larger sensor at higher voltage the longer the cable the higher the resistance and slightly lower voltage so the shorter the cable the better. My estimate would be 30cm max. This would be ideal for mounting the small Lens Module on the windshield and relocating the main dashcam circuit board and controls off windshield (future BCHobbyist Project). Other favorable applications would be on bike / motorcycle helmets or difficult to mount locations.
Let me know how your A119 DIY Project turns out.

Это интересно, когда ждать релиза и будет вам увеличить битрейт.

The most recent A119S FW v2.0 with Parking Mode is saving larger video clips with a boost of 4Mbps variable bit rate approaching 20Mbps on 1080p @ 30fps.
Will conduct more tests as other Firmware versions are released. I can confirm the video clips are growing in size by up to 100MB per 3min loop recording.
