If the camera is working fine, not necessary to update the firmware.Hey everyone, haven't been around for a while, my A129 pro is running V2.1 and the cam is working flawlessly. Set up and forget kind of situation, the cam switches as intended between drive mode and parking mode, buffered parking mode works as intended (every month or so I check if the cam detects events in its field of vision and start recording), the cam automatically shuts down when it hits the selected cutout voltage, and boot up automatically when I start the car.
I also don't even have to worry about draining my battery (car sleeps 5 days during the week) as my hardware kit always cut power when it hits the selected cutout voltage.
I can see that they released fw 2.7, not planning to upgrade unless they added a new feature. What's the difference between v2.7 VS v2.1? Is there any reason for me to upgrade?
The V2.7 important improvement is optimizing video quality as some users complain the video is too bright.
If you are satisfied with the video quality, you can keep use the V2.1 firmware.
