AC adapter for the DR500GW-HD?

Hi, I have the DR500GW-HD. I would like to get an AC adapter for it so I could use it for home security if needed. What type should I get?

I have used an old cell phone charger with 12V and 0,5A. The connector was taken from another Nokia charger which fits into my blackvue.
I cutted both wires and connected them together. I have also put the fuse between wires to be more secure.
