Well I had my shot of Pfizer back in Feburary no side affect at all, however I know 2 other people that got mild side affects when the had the other vaccine not pfizer, they had very mild symptoms that only lasted 24 hours.

A few weeks ago I had my AZ jab at 08:00 and at about 14:00 to 16:00 the next day I had very mild flu like symptoms and the jab area a bit tender that then slowly faded. Next morning all gone.

We have a large concentration of 'groups' who believe Whatsapp false/fake news over the advice of qualified doctors. Maybe once they realise why they are still becoming infected and worse and being refused access to venues when they open their attitude may change.

However, looking at the daily map, London is mainly light blue or green whilst the north is mainly dark blue.

And our vaccinations slowed a little, so we didn't quite make the 50% here yet. London is falling even further behind.

Some people have started getting the second dose, I think they should delay that until the other 50% are done, wiping the virus out is more important than possibly gaining an extra few % effectiveness! Although it looks like it is on the way out anyway, we now have less new cases/population than Denmark, and half of those are probably false positives/non-infectious.

New record on the testing, 2.25% of the population tested yesterday, that is matching Denmark!

well Russians right now go to great length to discredit western vaccines, so i would be very careful with news like this.

The Norwegians them self do report.
"The Norwegian Medicines Agency and the National Institute of Public Health jointly assess all reports of suspected adverse reactions. As a result, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health has updated the covid-19 vaccination guide with more detailed advice on vaccinating the elderly who are frail.
As of 14 January, 23 reports of suspected deaths have been submitted to the Norwegian ADR health registry. The figures in the published report include the thirteen reports that have been assessed by the Norwegian Medicines Agency and the National Institute of Public Health. Several reports of suspected adverse reactions are received on a daily basis and are continuously assessed."

We are talking very old people here already with both feet in the grave, much like my own mother who also got the PB vaccine but of course are only in the mid 70ties.
But doctors did tell us this time last year that we should not be surpriced in our mother was gone before 2020 was over thats how bad she is, but she are still kicking, and i am going to visit her tomorrow.

yeah I think isolating people that are frail is maybe better than trying to vaccinate them, once everyone around them is vaccinated the risk would be lowered anyway

I don't believe the vaccine is dangerous to anyone, it is just that when you are giving it to a lot of 90+ year olds, it is inevitable that some are going to die soon after if you give it or not!

There is some talk about the PB vaccine due to the kind of vaccine it is, that might be the issue.
Also ATM a lot of research going on in what if any vaccine to use on kids ( corona not really being a major issue for kids, though a new born was just reported to have died from it )

Maybe other type of vaccines will be better for these age / health groups.

yeah I agree, when they give it to people that are living on borrowed time it's not going to take much to have problems, same people are susceptible even from minor illnesses, anyone else might have flu like symptoms for a day or whatever but for frail people that's a bigger risk, they perhaps should re-evaluate people that are in nursing homes as to suitability

All you need is for one of the people giving the injections to have undiagnosed flu/corona/etc. and you can kill a lot of nursing home occupants instead of saving them! But that happens every year when the flu vaccines are given.

I had a similar impression.

As I've previously pointed out, it is always important to consider the source of a media report or news article. In this case, the link is from the Azeri Press Agency. The APA issues newspapers and newsletters in Azerbaijani, Russian and English and has outlets in Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Central Asian, the Baltic states, Moldova and elsewhere. So, it is conceivable that the nature of the article has a political slant or agenda regarding the Pfizer vaccine.

The use of the AZ vaccine have been suspended in Denmark, after a death ( heart attack / blood clot ) i assume shortly after a vaccine was given.
The poorly written news article seem to indicate this have also happened elsewhere, and so the use of the AZ vaccine have been temporarily suspended.

142.000 Danes have already been shot up with the AZ vaccine.

This will probably push back even further the date when all Danes are vaccinated, which until now have been min July after J&J reported that they will not be able to deliver vaccines before mid April.
The J&J vaccine is what Denmark have ordered most off ( 8 million shots ) but of course their vaccine are not approved in the EU yet. ( EDIT : The J&J vaccine will probably get EU approval today )

Austria, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Luxembourg have also suspended AZ vaccine use in regard to batch # ABV5300
The European Medical Agency still say the batch are fine, it have been distributed to 17 member states, but will look into reports filed.

On a better note, Belgian police have impounded 17 tonnes of cocaine, and made a lot of arrests in regard to that.

Of course you need to watch for problems, but suspending vaccinations for a whole country because of one death which is probably nothing to do with the vaccine is likely to result in many extra deaths from the covid-19 as well as extended lockdowns! There seem to be many countries that have got the priorities wrong.

Yeah i do hope its not just from 1 death, that would be peanuts when 142.000 have been jabbed so far.
But the leaders here do all they can to try and make people forget they broke the country's laws several times during this, and it is in socialists genes to want to present them self as the saviors of the people.
As with all politicians everywhere due diligence, thats just fluff they throw around, and people sadly fall for.

There was supposed to be a big party in Copenhagen today,,,,, disguised as a demonstration as those are legal no matter the number of people, but the winds today are too high to put up the stage.

We've vaccinated almost 23 million, mostly AZ. I think if there was a problem we would know.

All those suspensions were from 1 Austrian death, and the EMA says:

"The information available so far indicates that the number of thromboembolic events in vaccinated people is no higher than that seen in the general population"

So definitely a higher risk to lives from the suspension than from continuing to get people protected.
