Had my 2nd AZ jab last Tuesday at 1:50pm (Aust time), no effects until I was out grocery shopping Thursday night at approx. 6:30pm.
I was standing at the checkout unloading the shopping trolley when out of the blue I broke out in a sweat and had minor tremors, it was all over in 2 - 3 minutes. I have had nothing since.

Not symptoms I've seen mentioned elsewhere, especially after that amount of time.

Silverstone got over 100,000 spectators with no masks all three days, with over 140,000 yesterday, which probably didn't include all the film stars walking about on the grid! Tom Cruise, Michael Douglas, Harrison Ford, etc.

Now we are seeing a bit of an extra spike in England after last weekend's football and tennis, so we probably won't have an instant drop in cases after freedom day after all. Scotland is dropping fairly fast though, they got knocked out of the football earlier!

It will be very interesting to see the infection, hospitalisation and death rate in about 10 days time.

Yesterdays BBC Cummings interview must make for painful Boris watching as Cummings is alleging that the Gov (Boris) ignored scientific advice last autumn to lockdown in the name of the economy.

Yes, hard to predict over 10 days after several major national events, but the longer it keeps rising, the faster it will fall!

Interesting graph, deaths rates since the winter season of 1998/99, the death rate during covid has never got as high as during the winter flu of 1998/1999/2000, and since March it has often been the lowest this century for the time of year.

No, Boris followed the scientific advice, and the Cummings advice. Cummings complaints seem to be that Boris had to be advised to take that advice, and maybe it needed an argument for him to do so, but Boris did do everything that Cummings was advising. Boris's job was to go in person to the palace to talk/take advice/take commands from the queen, Cummings advised him not to, after some discussion/argument Boris took the advice and talked to the queen over the phone. Since Cummings job was to give advice to Boris, I don't understand why there is any issue with this? If anything it is very good that Boris was considering all the options and looking at other strategies rather than just listening to the special advisors / medical experts and ignoring all other opinions/data/etc., we don't want a dictator or a puppet running the country.

I'm suspecting Cummings sequence of interviews is actually a strategy for Boris winning the next election, better to have the press concentrating on Cummings complaining about things that Boris voters will generally take Boris's side on, than to have the press broadcasting the complaints from other political parties where the complaints may make some sense to some voters!

A remarkable piece of journalism from Alabama via the perspective of a physician treating unvaccinated COVID patients in one of the least vaccinated states in the USA.

An excellent companion piece to the above article, this time the southern US state of Arkansas.

A couple who were against the vaccine have both been infected.
At least one of them is in the hospital.
If they survive I wonder how their thinking about covid and the vaccines will change.

I do not wish anyone to suffer, however those who have refused the vaccine should be left to suffer their fate on their own unassisted if they catch Covid 😒

There is nothing to be gained by wasting time and resources on the stupid except for promoting stupidity to continue unabated. They chose to risk death and disease so let them have an abundant harvest of what they have asked for.

notice in the story that Dashmellow shared above the nurse talks about people asking for the vaccine as they're rolling into ICU, they become believers pretty quickly when it's happening to them

I just hope that these people who often believe social media before doctors get back on to social media stating what they have gone through

Oh great!

They just mapped the content of the Grauballe bog mans last meal, i mean down to the grain.

It is good to know my tax money fund such crucial science. 🙄
