currently I am using your firmware and only got 12Mbps...how do you raise the bitrate to 15Mbps? Can you advice?

change to notepad++, avserver.sh -> BITRATE="12000000" ----> BITRATE="15000000"

I tried to look for this avserver file and cannot find this avserver.sh file in my Blackvue folder...where does it reside?

I got roughly the same video as VincentMiata too...should I turn the brightness up to one scale before max? What is the brightness do you recommend to get good video?

How do you change the brightness??

Usually this Russian first rendered, and then read :lol:
You can change the application blakvue or file config.ini

change and let us know the uotcome...I have changed my brightness from 2 to 3...see if it improves...if not, I will up another scale to 4

Might pay to slow down in the water if for no other reason than to consider others Glad I wasnt the moped rider when you went past.

My thanks extend to Mio for his help

My vid quality is not even close to the one shown above, file size does not appear to change, 86mb per 1min clip @1080p 12k kbps in normal AND high compression settings.

I have to say the vid quality on my GS8000 1080p Ambrella was vastly superior, shame the damn thing didn't actually work for more than a month before breaking !!! (2 broken in less than a month in fact)

I was thinking that playing with 8000 and 24000 values in

/mnt/nand/System/av_server.out DM368 AUDIO 8000 AAC 24000 AEWB TI2A 1080P H264 7500000 0 VBR AUTO 8250000 MJPEG 10 MENUOFF

can help but 8000 seems to be fixed and it cannot be changed.
