DOD LS430W now available?

^ Good info.
FYI: You can set the screen saver time to turn off the screen after some time. I haven't tried it yet with GPS signal, but I assume it works.
The cam actually does have some sounds when it turns on and off, but it's not loud.

We can confirm the camera will record as normal with GPS logging whether screen is on or off!
Start up and shutdown tones are present, however easily missed as they are quite low.

Someone previously told me that the DOD LS430W was created to accept a 64G Card? I need a camera ( Not the Lukas LK7900 ) that can get us around 24 hours of recording... I wanted it to be this camera :(

Are there any suggestions?

Thanks

I use my DOD LS430W with a SanDisk Ultra microSDXC with 64 GB (class 10) and I've no problems.
You have only to format the microSD with the camera before you begin to record the first time.
In 1080p (Full-HD) I can record about 8h.

Hi all,

I have a DOD LS300W (OK, it's a VF300W with nearly the same specs) and I have handmade a small mounting bracket for that camera. As the VF300W interferes with my car's GPS I will need a better shielded cam and so I stumbled upon the LS430W.

To all those who know the VF300W AND the LS430W (Niko?) : Can I still use the same bracket with the LS430W? Or will I have to make a new bracket?

Thanks a lot & best regards

Michael

I have in hand VF300W and LS300W, - those brackets are exactly the same fitments.
Never had LS430W but looking at Ali, I can tell it should be the same, sellers advertise there it as fit for all those models.

If you like VF300W ( except interference ), before buying LS430W, you may try to shield it from inside casing / shell using foil.

Thanks a lot! I will first try the foil, but I think I will go for the 430 and mount the 300 in my t-car. Need some new gadget, this time with GPS :)

I throw the card out with a paper clip.

But beware, don't slide over or under the microSD!
Btw.: You must push the microSD a little bit to eject them.

Attention:
My SanDisk microSD with 64GB* (exFAT file system) is now damaged by the DOD LS430W. I can use only 30,6 MB (not GB!) of the 64 GB.
A second microSD (FAT32 file system) with the same parameters (replacement order) is also damaged after few hours recording - also 30,6 MB.

DOD-UK wrote on his site, that the DOD LS430W is compatible with this 64GB microSD from ADATA: http://dod-tech.co.uk/64gbsd.html
I've this microSD from ADATA too (from a other seller, but with the same parameters) and after few hours recording is this microSD also damaged - same problem with 30,6 MB.
But I use this microSD with FAT32. The next microSD from ADATA I'm testing with exFAT. ...

So, be carefully! 32 GB works from SanDisk / Transcend / ADATA fine, but 64 GB not ever.

I have got my LS430W and LS330W and two ADATAs 64GB works fine, no problems at all, are you sure that yours ADATA is genuine and real 64GB?
i don't think that ADATA memory cards is not compatible- because both DOD UK and DOD CA are selling this cards for a long time now...

can you tel me from who is your ADATA 64gb? provider??

there is a lot of not genuine/fake ADATA memory card sellers.
