I just received 2 of the black G1W via estore009 (ordered Dec 19, arrived in Nashville, TN 8 days later) and have included a photo of the package and the English pages of the included manual. Firmware was 2013.05237.01 with a Green welcome screen. The small printed manual has color images and is written in Chinese, English and Russian. A white sticker on the outside of the box identifies itself as P1309B G1W, and a brief spec. on another face of the box says the "main chip" is an NT96650. Note that there is no socket for external GPS nor does this model have internal GPS. The item was exactly as described in their eBay ad.
The battery runs for about 8 minutes after power is cutoff, and the screen cannot shutoff less than 3 minutes after startup. I have no problems with the USB port being loose and it seems this hardware issue has been resolved on my units. The SD card took a bit of effort to push in place, but it seems quite secure. Unlike other videos I have seen online, the date and time stamp appears at the bottom left of screen for this camera/firmware combination.
For a clean 8GB card the camera reports the following recording capacities (hr:min:sec)
1080FHD - 1:19:01, 720p (60fps or 30fps) - 2:14:30, WVGA or VGA - 3:56:55
The camera appears to be the real thing as I used VLC media player and got the following info for a 1080FHD recorded video:
Frame Width: 1920, Frame Height: 1080, Frame Rate: 30 fames/second
The audio is an acceptable 512kbps/32kHz mono stream, but it does have a distracting low frequency "bfff" sound that repeats every second or so, which seems to desensitize the sound recording somewhat. Recording cabin sounds and your commentary is an important adjunct to video evidence, both before and after an incident, so this defect is a little annoying although I'm sure it could be easily resolved with a firmware update.
