Unit defective. The dash cam itself doesn't detect the memory card
Quite disappointing considering it took a month to get here....

It might be also you PC usb ports does not automatically install a drivers. Try other usb port or other pc / laptop.

ALRIGHT! Got it working! For some reason my front USB doesn't work for this dashcam but all other devices works on them. I had to use the USB on the back of the computer and it works no problem!

Yes, this is my very first dashcam. Had to get one since I had a very close call a month ago (not my fault) and many many many drivers not stopping at stop signs.

Try go to dash cam settings and restore to the factory default. Also try to connect with other pc or laptop.

Its a common thing on PC-s with front usb. Mine also didnt want to read many devices from new, needed to install drivers to it.

Is the 3M adhesive mount such as the one foxoffer are giving away with the product alot smaller than the suction mount?
The suction mount shown in the images look big and very unstealthy.
Does anyone have a picture of the 3M adhesive mount?

Not sure which one the have but the 3M version mount of just about any model is generally a lot smaller

Is there any way to lower the screensaver time to less than 3 minutes (or not even turn on unless a button is pressed)?

Hoping there's some firmware update out there that will allow this....a bit annoying when driving at night.

If I want to capture a particular incident and don't want it over-written while loop-recording, how do I do this?

Does the G-Sensor only work with the cam on? i.e. does it have parking mode?

What does the Motion Sensor function do?

Is it just me or does it take forever to upload/process videos in Youtube due to the format the dashcam records in?

go to playback mode, select clip, lock it

yes, works only when dash cam is powered on

What does the Motion Sensor function do?

if you hardwire your dash cam for constant power supply and leave your car parked, select motion detection recording, - it will start recording upon motion detected and stops recording after motion is gone.

depends how big video clips you record ( 1,3,5 min ? ), also depends on your internet speed

I noticed that the GT550W also record an audio track, even if I disable the sound recording in the settings.
That's a waste of space on the SD card when a mute sound is recorded.
Where can I get a firmware update for the camera?

Purchased the GT550W from Amazon.com through E-PRANCE that was fulfilled by Amazon and showed up on my doorstep in 2-days. Very happy with the quality of the camera, very sharp with an average bitstream of 15.26 Mbps.
