Hardwiring a129 questions

You can use a multimeter to find an unused ACC and Bat+ slots. This video may help...
 
Both very useful replies thanks so much! Am I correct assuming the ACC line goes to a switched fuse (on when ignition on) and the battery line to a constant fuse? Does amperage matter?

Yes, that's right. AMP doesn't matter, the camera only use 5V 1A.
