How long does the date & time stick on B1W if no power supply for long period of time?

Can you send me also new firmware?
I'm looking for locked file and found a lot of 2015 year files.
Strange is i'm driving car everyday, but have files only from Sep 12 and Sep 19, Sep 20

I found files between Sep 12 and Sep 19 with timestamp from 2015 year, would try new firmware , thanks
It happens that the dashcam cannot keep the time! If your camera within warranty, better to ask the seller to replace it!

Same issue here. I just found that my cameras are not keeping many recordings because the time is always going to 2015. I had no idea that I wasn't retaining recordings since I don't need the recordings very often. Also, as mentioned in another thread, I lose EVERY "locked" file because it won't move any file that is older than any other file and it actually deletes the file instead of locking it!

It is within the 1-year warranty if it lost the time always! You can ask the seller to send you a replacement camera!

No. It should be more reliable to change a new card if the dashcam detects a card error IMO!
I've got a new SD card arriving today, but as some people are still seeing the issue wanted it to be covered ideally.

On another note, how many GIT branches do you have??

This V20201117 will be the standard firmware after testing!

The B1W newest beta firmware V20201117 here:

The dashcam will capture the time from the latest video footage if the RTC battery was faulty, so it can keep all footage (included these Emergency files)in order!
Does this firmware include the previous/next emergency video save feature discussed in this thread? https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/emergency-recording-at-end-of-video.39344/page-2

FYI, will update B1W with a newer chipset GM8136s for the new batch :)
Hi. I just bought B1W. How I can check that latest chipset GM8136s installed? I opened the DVR and did not see inside any chips with the mentions of NOVATEK or GM8136S. Only REALTEK 8189FIV K916L31 GK37 and several small chips

Is there a firmware having a low bitrate parking mode after 3 minutes and Capture The Time From the Latest Video Footage If The Rtc Battery Was Faulty?

You can read about the chipset here: https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/b1w-firmware.40043/#post-478917

in order to see it, you will need to open the screen, which is held on the chipset through thermal paste and the screen serves for cooling, look here: https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/blueskysea-b1w-dashcam.31173/post-369138

PS: Realtek RTL8189FTV is a Wi-Fi module https://www.realtek.com/en/products/communications-network-ics/item/rtl8189ftv

Will DM you the firmware!
I discovered the problem.. If you turn off the power during the record of the blocked file, then this file is not saved. And instead of it xx.tmp on the tf card. Can you fix it in a new firmware with a low bitrate parking mode after 3 minutes? + maybe this firmware just in case has already include the time capture from the latest video footage if the RTC battery was faulty?

Another idea. For greater secrecy, turn off the flashing of the LED. Thus, it will be even more convenient to track the output from the parking mode.

Can I still use the an old default_cfg.bin file from a previous firmware update, or do I need to use a more recent one?

I have a 2018 version of the B1W, I love it but I realized it has the timestamp error -- some recordings are 2030, some are 2015, and after a recent test my most recent recordings are July 2021 (only one month off TOT). Is there any fix, or do I just need to either deal with it or get a new dashcam?

Suggest sync its time in the app every week; Its time will update automatically after WiFi connection with your phone;

or do I just need to either deal with it or get a new dashcam?
FYI, there is a sales promotion for B4K dash cam today at the price of $100 bucks. Might you have a look at it?
