Interested in PanoramaII

Hi all. I am interested in buying the PanoramaIIS mainly to document road trips. For that, image quality (so use of filter) and GPS logging is important for me. Since I will be using it in rental cars often I obviously prefer to use an easy to remove mounting (e.g. suction cup). Now reading through the various topics I get the impression that both for the filter and mounting you are on your own to find or make something yourself that is hopefully compatible with the cam. Is that still the current status?

For the filter I’ve found this, is it compatible with the PanaromaIIS? https://www.ebay.com/itm/310700891321
As I leave for holiday at the end of May I would need to have the cam in about three weeks. Are there options available for quicker (paid) delivery to the Netherlands for the ebay buying links on the Panorama review page ( http://dashcamtalk.com/powerucc-panoramaii/ )?

Hoi Bitterbal (ik ben ook Nederlands :)),

Regarding the suction mount, i ordered this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/181244084845and that comes with a free gift suction mount (scroll all the way down to "Components"). This suction mount is very good!

Regarding the CPL filter I don't know which one is best (look around a little bit in the Powerucc part of this forum) but I do want to tell you that you have to either take it off at nigtht, or accept that quality at night is worse with the filter on the device.
You can also order it from shpkorea with filter: https://www.ebay.com/itm/181401055235
Regarding delivery times, I ordered the 15th April and it arrived the 30th April. So normal delivery should be fine for you if you order quickly. Of course it may be possible that they will open your package at customs, and then it may take longer.
If you really want it quicker I suggest you contact the seller.

Hoi Vince, ik had je vlaggetje al gezien :)

Thanks for your reply and useful information. I saw a lot of ads but somehow missed the one including the CPL filter. That seems the one to order for me then.

The free shipping could still be in time although might be too tight. I will contact the seller and see what the other options are.

Thanks again for your info!

I'm in Canada, who ships the fastest? Or I can pick up in the USA.

Received my: Panorama II S last Wednesday and looks good! I'm not using a CPL filter because I don't want to take it off every evening.

What I really do not understand though is that the material of the device is reflective/shiny black!
A dashcam must be as unnoticeable as possible to prevent theft. So why on earth make it so reflective!?!?
I'll see if I can draw over it with a black marker, or put black tape on it (but then I'm afraid it will become too hot).
I will also draw the logo and lens ring black.
From pictures on the internet it seems the material differs per device. Was I unlucky? Or are all new models this way?

anyone want to comment on my opinion?

also i have another question: which settings i Cyberlink Powerdirector 11 should I use when I want to upload it to Youtube?
I don;'t want to upload directly from director to youtube, so first to a local file. But which settings are best?

Regarding the shiny black material, I believe all the new Panorama S models come that way. I'm lucky I bought the Panorama when it was still the Panorama II model, which is not shiny... You can see the pictures in other posts...

Uploading to Youtube is going to deminish your quality anyway, so I'd just upload the full raw video file and let YouTube handle the video compression. Just old onto the raw footage if you need it for evidence.
