Mobius mounting solutions

A quick little mod for the helmet mounts...

I run one of my Mobuis cam's from a battery pack via a USB cable which tends to flap around when driving, I was worried this might strain the USB connection after a while and stop working so I came up with a easy mod to stop any movement reaching the connector, its a piece of locking wire wrapped around the cable onto the securing nut of the mount its quick and easy and works perfect.

Thanks! Do you notice a big difference with Wide? Narrow seems to capture quite a bit and it does good about not focusing on the defrost lines.

I prefer the narrow setting as it seems to reduce the fish eye effect of the wide angle lens, its good to have the option so you can find the set-up that suits your needs.

It looks mounted to the hatchback, in which case the curly cord was genius so you could still open it.

The coiled USB cable is superb...please post a link to where you got it.

Yes, my Mobius is mounted to the lift gate frame, so it does rotate upwards several inches when the lift gate is opened, thus the coiled cord.

Here is the coiled cord: https://www.amazon.com/gp/B00TCNYYGWHere is the mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/B00QSFKJ8EHere is another similar mount that I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/B00BPRLV8MHere is the voltage converter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/B00CP1LQLY
I tapped power from the dome light through a small connector used for RC airplanes. The Ford Escape has a battery saver connected to all interior lighting so that power turns off 20 minutes after the ignition is switched OFF. So the rear Mobius gets turned off automatically after 20 minutes. Front camera goes off with the ignition because I had access to the fuse box in front.

Do you happen to have a screen grab or video of the wide lens mounted on the back?

One thing I can say is that the Muvi Veho mounting plates look different than what's on the webpage so while the GoPro mounts you linked us to look identical, I think in person they would look different.

Will the helmet mount work with the mobius C2 lens on an almost vertical windshield?
There is also a piece of horizontal trim that I could mount to, but I'm worried that it might be shaky when the vehicle hits bumps. Also worried about cleaning the double sided tape off the plastic if I ever change the mount.

the vehicle in question is a 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ, I've attached a picture of the dash/windshield area.

I use the vehicle for offroad travel, so I need the mount to be reasonably stable taking the bumps and shaking that comes along with that.
