Has anyone done a side-by-side test of git2 with MOD2 high vs stock firmware high? Noticeable improvements?

My guess is that 1920x1440 @36Mbps vs @45Mbps should show an obvious improvement in image quality and sharpness since its almost a 10Mbps difference, but am worried I'll brick my git2. Any heat issues?

Can this mod be done to the latest v1.8 firmware so we can use the app (the latest version of the gitup app doesn't work on v1.6.1)
