How come I don't see some of the stuff shown on Pg. 2?...some of the posts by roadcam & dashmellow are blank ???.....does anyone else have this issue?



When the 1963 (sorry Dashmellow) Ray came out,
Zora Arkus-Duntov, Engineer, racer & the guy who made the vette into a real sports car, told the chiefs at GM/Chevy to get rid of the Split in the Split Window because he couldn't see out the darn thing when racing. Bill Mitchell the designer of the vette wanted it to stay...guess who won.

I remember as a car-love'n kid in the 60's, how everyone wanted a 1964-1967 over the '63 because of that change...the '63s went for cheap on the market...of course it's the opposite now. But the later models do bring other enhancements to the game like the 427, disk brakes, side-pipes & nicer interiors,etc....I have several times been asked if mine is a Split-Window by folks who have heard that name but don't know what it means.

Thanks for the correction extraoneya. It makes more sense now that I think about it and remember how old I would have been. We weren't even living in the same neighborhood by '67. Anyway, as a little kid I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.

There r several C-1s in the group I meet for coffee & beer. I was very surprised when I first rode in one...it feels like another make of car. You sit on top of the chassis, as opposed to sitting w/in it like the later years. It's solid-axle suspension imparts a very different riding experience then the IRS that mine has.

I thought it was amusing that he's completely unharmed, and continues taking photos like nothing happened. I guess we all have different ideas/reactions. The driver was ok too.

Amusing? Perhaps. But to my way of thinking a guy who nearly gets killed and keeps snapping photos doesn't "make me smile".

My friends dogs ( the one he have now and the one bedore that ) have the same problem, dont undestand "NO this is not your toy"

The current dog even attack 1:5 scale 30 ccm gasoline cars at speed, and it have managed to kill a couple of tires over time.

A typical owner fault, not the dog.

@ dashmellow Well they say every thing is big in TEXAS but by the size of them thar horse shoes I think things have been exaggerated a little..........If not I dread to think what size the horse flies are going to be.... Ipol
