Pics that make you smile

That's like putting up the 7 speed DSG vs a human controlling a stick shift. If tuned well, AI will always win. :)

Yeah, there's no hope for humanity but it should be very entertaining watching our future robot overlords start to dominate every facet of human endeavor. :borg:

But only a human can handle unforeseen events, and until machines become equally sentient that will always hold true ;) I very deeply fear Hal 9000 becoming a reality

But what about the Precogs? :p And then mix in some advanced AI, chaos theory, predictive inferencing, trend analysis and quantum computing with mind boggling levels of data mining and HAL 9000 will seem like an old Commodore 64. We may be one of the last generations of humans as we now know them. :dead:

From Star Wars:

“Look, good against remotes is one thing, good against the living, that’s something else.”

"Maybe I need to become half man, half machine, so I can destroy them all."

If that is correct I need to up my hourly fees :p

You may not have the pleasure of spending the money.

For those who've never read it, consider the famous abstract presented by Vernor Vinge of the Department of Mathematical Sciences San Diego State University to the Symposium sponsored by NASA Lewis Research Center and the Ohio Aerospace Institute, March 30-31, 1993

"Within thirty years, we will have the technological means to create superhuman intelligence. Shortly after, the human era will be ended."
(six years to go!)

Well that's the kind of intelligence we need cuz what we have now sure as hell dont seem to do the job, and if we do it then its reasonable to argue the first thing said intelligence will do is to eliminate us.

Well, that settles it then. My wife and daughter spend it all anyway, guess I am just SOL then :(
