I'm going to buy a G1W / G1W-C or B40/A118. What I don't understand is, these run on 5 volts. But the cigarette lighter gives 12 volts. Is there a 12V to 5V transformer inside the adapter that comes with the camera and is it reliable?
My second question is there a way to mount the B40 with a suction cup? Because I'm %100 sure the sticky stuff will come out in the summer. I'm also sure the suction cups will fall occasionally but you can put them back on at least. I'll buy a G1W if I have to stick the B40 to the windshield. Thanks in advance.
