you won't get that size and full HD, I've got something close to that small we're doing in an upcoming model but not that small, it's not physically possible if you want decent quality, in rough terms around 2cm cubed is about the minimum

720P

think Admin talked about her over here :

http://dashcamtalk.com/smallest-hd-720p/

this is most small dash i saw.
but don´t expect the quality be Top notch.
at night seems pretty nasty

1920x1080 i think don´t exist at this size
not a dashcam yet.

there's a 1080p version in the same size, still a lot bigger than he was asking, in 720p there are now some models much smaller than this, close to half the size by volume, only 720p though

Re: searching for a dash cam

really ?

does the 1080p shows an improv over picture quality ?
do you remember where you saw to sell :?:

ive saw small sensors on Spy glasses / Pens but aren´t true 1920x1080

Re: searching for a dash cam

A good video quality cmos sensors for full hd are 1/2.5-1/3 inch. Adding there sensor board, plus camera shell / body, so in total it is physically not possible to have it in that size as jokiin already has mentioned.

Re: searching for a dash cam

woah a mini 1080 dash , haven't see it before

Re: searching for a dash cam

Well he doesnt really care about the size of the camera itslef I understand that he is looking for lense of the camera to be mounted as a dash cam and the camera itslef any size would sit in gloves comparment.

Re: searching for a dash cam

an separated camera ?

maybe a dual them he hide the main and use just the back camera.
problemn is duals back camera is 720P

Re: searching for a dash cam

ok. thanks for your posts :)

i didnt except, that so much user join this discussion..

it does not necessarily have to be 1080p. basically, I just need a good quality. i think 720p is good to

i thought i buy a device which is verry discreet

Re: searching for a dash cam

you can get a small cam and wrape it back tape on.

Re: searching for a dash cam

nice idea. but i dont want to change the mirror...

i thougt i get a device where i can plug in a external camera. and the mainunit / blackbox can be installed in the glovebox or trunk

edit:

i found this device (i1000 / F70) on this site (http://dashcamtalk.com/i1000-f70/)
thats what i search. but without the maincam (its enough when i can deactivate) and a better quality for the second cam :)

not a good model unfortunately, the design is a positive but the hardware solution they use is not stable

Re: searching for a dash cam

got what you want

i never tried dual cameras

so i dunno if this would work

use the Back camera on front and hide the main dash on whatever place you wish hide
the Back camera is usual very small

RearCameraAngle800x600.jpg

problemn is the fews 720p Back cams they are very expensive.
