Viofo T130 3 Channel Dashcam - 2K Front + FHD Interior + FHD Rear

I am going to grab that now, cuz will be doing a little drive soon.

I have not looked at nighttime interior camera footage yet, all my driving seem to be in the daytime at the moment.

New FW ready to go on camera shortly, on 2 different memory cards.

What are the FW numbers from the new update?

I will record that ( video on my phone ) on my drive in a few minutes, you should have that Info in 1 hour.

This is mine.

Can we see the melted photos?
I was trying to find them but that’s all I could find. Just to be clear “melted” didn’t mean a blob of plastic!

The new version posted today is also V1.0_0906

where did you get the update?
Did you get this version via a wi-fi update?
Was on the Firmware page earlier but no T130 mentioned.

Seem like i or something else goofed up the update on the rear camera, so my system are just 2 channel now.
I am about to go and try flash it again. front camera first and then after that the rear camera.

I did just get a recording of myself with the interiors cameras,,,,, for the love of " insert your favorite deity here" i dont understand how a good looking guy like me can be a bachelor. 🙂
The A139 camera are in the footage of the T130 camera along with a little bit of the mirror, the T130 even if it is aimsd strait back have a full driver side door window, the A139 only have the back 1/3 - 1/2 of the same window. but then again it is mounted in the middle and 10 cm or so further back then the T130 camera.

Quick example from the front camera of 2 local potential blood donors...

Using 6 hour timer and low bitrate with A139 and T130, and no issues with either cam. My A139 was in both these tests @71C and higher for about 20 minutes in each session.

I hadn't planned to much exceed 65C but I put the tape marker on my thermometer without my reading glasses and applied it in the wrong place. I discovered that after the first test and since nothing smoked I left it there for the second test, where I reached 180F / 82C for most of the last 15 minutes of the test which was all my heat gun and test setup would give me. I fully expected something to fail and was very surprised when nothing did. That's got to be about as hot as my van ever gets and it's well past the specs of any of the cam components. One can't ask for more, but many do and will anyway.

I let the van cool slowly when each test was finished, opening the doors maybe 5 minutes later. All the cams were still hot, the Viofo's almost burning my work-tough fingers, so it seems the test duration of 20 minutes is enough to get the whole cam up to max temp.

I think this has been discussed, but I wonder if the larger surface area of your van has anything to do with the better results you achieve (with the A139 at least). My S60 is a darker color and obviously less cubic feet / meters of interior. Also, you have a larger surface area of glass (front windshield) and a light color vehicle.

My only guesses.....

Since I don't own the T130, I can only speculate that the barrel shape and smaller surface area of the mount on the windshield, have addressed the overheating problems that the A139 faces. As the A139 has a much larger base being mounted on the windshield.

There is a hot spot on my T130, hotter than anything i have ever felt on the A139, so i am not optimistic for parking guard testing, even if now we Danes are moving into colder and colder weather, which should facilitate a hot running camera.

BTW flashing again, my T130 are still down to the 2 cameras in the main body, rear camera are just gone now.
O and i found the problem, the 4GB memory card i used to flash the rear camera died, the 16GB one i used for the front camera still work fine.

Either a cable or its bricked something Kamcar.

If you are talking about this spot (as marked on the picture) It does indeed gets hot and it is considered normal. It is a portion of the heat sink!
I have already burned my fingers a few times. Extremely hot to touch but my camera have not had any issues even though yesterday's testing in direct sun light for 3 hours.

My unit and card are also very hot after normal running.

I dont think it is a cable issue, the camera was doing 3 channels before i flashed it, i think the memory card died mid flash of the rear camera.
While flashing all of the LED lights was flashing and it just did not stop ( watched it for 5 minutes ), flashing the front camera only the REC LED was flashing.

Hopefully you are able to recover it. Now I'm afraid to attempt doing the firmware update.

I think i was just unlucky with my granted very old memory card, i will take great pleasure in disintegrating it with a single well placed shot from my air rifle,,,,, it will get the mandatory +50 M head start, but then my 13 grains of lead is coming to get it. 🙂

Not sure what to do now, i assume @viofo or @VIOFO-Support will chime in with something to try, pressing the hardware reset button did not do anything.
