so is it 1080p or 1296p? and with such a small battery and no other mounts, how would it be good for a backpacker/hiker?

Yup, one of the reasons I don't take part in any promotions that require anything more than just posting a message in the original thread. I have nothing against GB, as I have actually gotten good prices and service from them, though not dashcam related, but this is not a good way to increase exposure.

The only thing I know about Gearbest is what I have seen and read at this forum...and generally speaking...it's not good....
 
Competition entry:

No social media in our house but have generated some interest in my office with the g1w-c bought from GearBest... Great budget option for dash cam noobies to get a feel for the security a cam can provide.

Hopefully soon the Aussie insurance companies start reducing insurance premiums for dash cam users which will in time help the camera pay for itself :)
