Worst case it's going to be time for a new windscreen as this one has got stone chips from 143k miles now!

Please do not do that, if not, the money in your pocket is going to less and less.😀

😀

It's the stone chips - the guy who had the car before me must have driven everywhere at warp speed! In the UK we're covered by the car insurance so for around £50-100 they'll replace your entire windscreen when you get a really bad stone chip that cracks. If the sun is out you can't tell but it's when the sun comes out it can cause problems.

If the replacement windscreen installation is done incorrectly, you may end up with water ingress problems... condensation, damp carpets, mould, smells, corrosion.

I would avoid windscreen replacement, unless absolutely necessary.

Yeah lots of risks mate - a mate of mine has had his rear window replaced just yesterday. The rear window of the car was privacy glass - the rear side windows were privacy glass - you'll never guess what Autoglass used for the replacement rear window 😀

I've always wondered about these kits - might give one a go!

If so, why not make change?
Insurance creates value when need, if not, it is wastes of money..

It is advertising, I believe.

Hi Reverend could not help but notice in the video footage that the MPH was jumping about all over the place, it had a mind of its own. Is this an issue with the panorama 2 ........Ipol

Ah if it's my older videos it was more my fault mate - turns out there's an orientation of the GPS module and I had it the wrong way around!

At the moment I've just got it hanging down, it's not stuck on just yet, works been nuts so I'm waiting for the weekend to sit down and work out how to hide it away on the windscreen.

There is a glitch where sometimes it jumps up to +100mph on top of your speed - you see it at the start of each file so it's as though it lags for a second when moving onto the next file and then it thinks you've gone twice as fast during that interval - likewise Registrator Viewer shows spikes at the start of each video but whether that's an X2 issue or RV issue is unknown - same problem on the G I think as well.

I just received my panorama x2 today from Pier28, but I'm running into a big problem. After I installed it, the camera shuts off after 40 seconds of being on. I thought it might be related to the power saving functionality but my car was on. Any ideas?

This usually means one of the two power sources is not connected. (ACC / BAT) It could also mean the fuse in the power cord blew out or something is shorting in the cable. Please email me at jon AT pier28.com (or send a PM) and I'll help sort it out.

That was exactly what I was going to say! Ran into the same issue thinking I could run it with only the BAT supply.

Having just been in an accident where I've been deemed liable because I had no witnesses confirming that the guy was running a red light while I was turning left, I've decided to get a good dash-cam.

One of my concerns is the temperature range. I'll see winter temperatures of down to -30 degrees C, sometimes slightly lower, a number of times a year.
Does anyone, or the manufacturer, have experience with operating this below the -20 that is noted on the 1st page?

Welcome to the club soon, time to join

We've had several X2's sent to cold climates over the winter months. (including Canada) Someone will need to chime in with real world experience as I'm in California. I know all Panorama S and G cameras have been proven rock solid since 2013 and it uses the same base Zoran CPU (two of them actually)

Nice review of menu. 1.2.0. Can't wait to see improvements. You did speak in vid of bitrate, are they going down in next release? I think in high they are 20 right now.

The 20mbps was a trial beta for those who wanted the higher bitrate I believe
