You dont need to disconnect speaker. Easiest way to mute cam is
1. Connect to dash cam Wi-Fi on phone
2. Run Chrome
3. Go to http://192.72.1.1/cgi-bin/Config.cgi?action=set&property=Camera.Menu.ApkGetVol&value=VOL0
after that camera is muted.

There is a way to get firmware and it is really simple. You need to instal Packet Capture app from Google play, then open it, install certificate. Next inside of the app find 70maidashcam app. Go to 70mai app and click on firmware update. Go back to Packet Capture, click on first captures, on first option, on the bottom there will be link to firmware.

Chinese firmware link: HTTP://rom-cdn.midrive.com.cn/SD_CarDV_70mai_1_0_3.zip

If you will be so kind and share link to English firmware, I will try to install it on Chinese version of cam.

do u have 1.0.4 cinese

How to download the usercfg.txt file from the camera?
You need to edit usercfg.txt and put it in the root of the memory card on the DVR.

Whether by changing these parameters (saved in file "usercfg.txt") it is possibility to change the duration of individual video (for example from 1 minute to 3 minutes)?

I did not manage to increase the time, apparently these parameters do not work.

Do you have such a situation that the device displays an error (indicated by a red lamp on the device) and in the application 70 mai an error is displayed that the card is too slow to be able to save the movie. It is necessary to format the card in the device. After reformatting, the device works normally by recording video clips.
Has any of you met with such a situation?

Download this: SD_CarDV_1.0.4_ENG.zip (Google Disk)
1.Unpack files.
2.Copy SD_CarDV.bin to a root of micro SD card.
3.Put the micro SD card in Xiaomi 70 mai dash cam.
4.Connect the device to external power supply and switch it on.
5.The device will start blinking with a blue light.
6.After a successful firmware update the device will say something and turn the blue LED off.

Hi, I tried this but the update does not trigger when I power up the device.

Can I clarify :
1. When you say "Copy SD_CarDV.bin to a root of micro SD card", you mean the root directory of the SD card right, not into any folder?
2. Is there anything you can do to trigger the update manually if the device does not automatically do it?

I currently have the Chinese version (Chinese narration and text) and badly want to change it to English. Thank you!

1. Yes, copy SD_CarDV.bin to root directory of the SD card.
2. Do not manually start it. To update the firmware, you need to insert a memory card into the recorder turned off and then connect the power source.

Do you have a blue LED? If not, try another memory card or power source.
The file SD_CarDV.bin will be copied again.

Il est possible de trouver une version anglaise avec commande vocal anglaise sur la version 64 Gb ?

Hi, I do not manually start it. I just let it naturally power on when I power up the car. Is this the correct way?

I do not see a blue LED though. Where is it supposed to be?

I had the same problem with Xiaomi YI dashcam. The problem was the SD car. I don't know why, but the firmware update didn't start with the 64GB SD card, just with smaller. The interesting point is I use the 64GB SD card in the camere for recording, and everything is good with it, but the firmware update doesn't want to start with it. Try with an 16GB SD card. :)

Now I try to change my 70mai dashcam firmware too. :)
And I hope available soon the 70mai Pro dashcam English firmware too for the Chinese version, because I have the same problem with it. :)
