BlackVue Elite 10 Dual 4K - Test/Review - RCG

I’m looking for a front-only dash cam for my Tesla.
Power should be supplied via USB Type-C or the cigarette lighter socket.
My main concern is durability under high interior temperatures during summer. So it needs to be a capacitor-based model (not battery-powered) to minimize any risk of overheating, swelling, or potential fire when the car is parked.
It should also be able to record the entire drive continuously without missing any footage.
Between these two models that are available in my country, which one would you recommend?

Hey @major24 based on the features you're after, the A329s would make the most sense (Super Capacitor, USB C, continuous recording, etc.)

Firmware v1.008 for the Elite 10 dash camera is now available via the BlackVue app. The BlackVue website does not show this update just yet.

1. Added remote SD card format.
2. Improved time synchronization.
3. Added exFAT file system support.
4. Added Hong Kong and Ukrainian language support.
5. Improved system stability.

The BlackVue app had a recent update as well.

Android v4.24 (Release date: 2026-04-29)
iOS v4.20 (Release date : Apr 28, 2026)

• Added Audio Recording setting to Quick Settings
• Remote SD card format now available for select models
(Supported models : DR770X II / DR770X LTE / DR770X Box Pro / DR970X LTE Plus II / ELITE 8 / ELITE 9 / ELITE 10 / ELITE+ GOLD)
• Other bug fixes and system stability improvements

I'm not aware of this being a "you must reformat" the SD card situation. I believe it's to allow memory cards formatted on a Windows computer with the exFAT file system to work in the Elite series dash camera [complete guess]. I just sent an email asking the details of this change. It may be a few days before I get a reply due to a May holiday break for Pittasoft/BlackVue.
