I have a DR590X and a campervan with a 4g router. Can I use the router to coneect the Blackvue to the cloud?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm new here and this is my first dashcam.
Many thanks
Nick

Welcome to the forum nicknoxx.

I believe you can, but am not sure as i have no personal experience with the blackvue brand, or smart cameras in general, but them connecting VIA a external hot spot have been the case for years, only now are some models coming with a build in modem and so also need a SIM card to use those features.
If the hot spot is in the car or something the car tow i do not see as a issue, the only problem is can the reasonable weak WIFI of the dashcam reach the router back there ( both isolated in their own metal box )

Selective reading on my part yet again, i discarded the van after camper, so wifi reach is probably not a problem.
Some of the Blackvue people will probably fill in.

While everything said by Kamkar is true, the DR590X is not Cloud-compatible, so it cannot have the LTE module connected, or pair to any outside wifi source/hotspot.

You'll need the DR770X or DR970X for this.
