GitUp Git2- Support, FAQ, Review

I mean multiple camera (16) start at same time
would there be option to use remote shutter cable and does Git2 have Remote release socket? Or which other way are you working on the start recording multi Git2 at same time?

We designed for support remote shutter but not released this feature until the firmware support that, it require much time to get it work well.
We will update the status, maybe next month.

would it be possible to activate several cameras simultaneously WITH ONLY ONE REMOTE SHUTTER?

the interpolated 4k mode does not seem to be good
We have noticed that and checked with the user, it seems have focus problem on that sample.
There are a few pcs use the metal lens holder, maybe some not fixing well.
As we only produced limited for first batch, and only a few pcs use the metal lens holder, so this is under control, anyone who has the focus problem can contact us directly to get solved.
To get better focus and easy assembling, we will use the plastic holder lens for next batch.

We noticed there is some DIY solution, require special cable and open the camera.
Below is what I saw on XiaoYi.

So the new batch that is going to sell end of this month will not have this problem?

Of course, also we will double checking before shipping.

I am wondering why some one dont try other interesting sensors than Sony, but i assume this is rooted in Support by the chipset makers.

I know atleast 1 Toshiba sensor “T4KC3” i would love to see in a dashcam.

Maybe that will happen now Toshiba sold sensor division to Sony.
According to the Spec, the chipset can support below.

It depends on the chipset vendor choosing which sensor.
Currently it support OV4689, Sony IMX078 and IMX206, we have seen products use these sensor on the market now.
We saw someone declared use the IMX117 sensor, it should be the IMX078.

The Git2 is likewise the Git1 when it comes to build quality. It's also easy to open it for a look. I only have two observations about it. The WiFi cable is now soldered to the mainbord instead of having a connector. The LCD like on the Git1 is fixed by a ultra powerful double sided tape which make it a bit hard to remove and can also lead to being cracked by being forced excessively.

PS: don't worry the camera is doing fine.

Here's a partial teardown of the new Git2 😀

what support do you offer if I get one with the same probleme?

I bougth mine in presale at gearbest arount the 20 october , I just recieve a email from gearbest that they just send it to me yesterday. Now I have to wait for around 1 month to recieve it . Does I will have to ship it back to you if it is defective and you ship me a new one after you recieve it ? That will make it a 3 month wait to be able to use it , or you have a better option? I m just asking because it is a big concern , and I know from my experience that , it cost around 50 to 60 $ from Canada to China for the shipping.

Thank you

What are the programme you use for the computer to make video clip ???

yep, similar construction to the GIT1. i couldn't take it down any further than that either. rather than removing the LCD from its mounting plate, which would almost guarantee a cracked LCD, i would have tried drilling/cutting the 4 plastic spots that hold the LCD back plate to the camera frame. but then it'd be a crapshoot trying to put it back on properly. then again, it's not like many people will be taking these apart.

btw - groovy music. 😛

We will ship the new one to you if you found same problem, and you ship the camera body only, paid by us. This is only for who ordered from the first batch and have focus problem.
Thanks for all who trust us and pre-ordered the camera.

This is totally under control, not like XiaoYi has before.

On the Git1 i did manage to remove the LCD as the reflective white back panel has come of the screen's backside.
The music choice is limited as i 'm constantly searching for DRM free tracks, but not all of them match the video content.

hard to tell. youtube compression makes the video look like total garbage - even the time stamp is blurry, which would never happen even if you completely removed the lens from the camera. can you post the video to MEGA or DropBox where we can see the real footage?

Sorry, this video is not mine. It was found in youtube and posted in a forum in spain. I don't have information about this.
I would like that problem was the compression of youtube, hopefully.

Edit: this is the description of video in youtube:

"Raw footage from the Git 2 using the image stabilizer. I think a little work needs to be done with the stabilization on this camera. Its nearly there. A little bit of work to get it fine tuned. Its OK for slow movements but small instant bumping vibrations knock the gyro off. If you look around the edge of the frame you can see the effects."

I think the problem is not in youtube compression 🙁
