How to stick Velcro on ceiling of car interior?

Are there any tricks to stick Velcro on the ceiling of the car? I tried to use Velcro for my rear dashcam (Mobius), and a few weeks later, it falls down. I cannot stick my dashcam on the window because it's not feasible. I don't want to stick my dashcam on the side of the car because I want a straight footage.

I currently use a helmet mount and an industrial grade Velcro. Should I use a larger piece of Velcro to have a greater surface area? Does that work?

What kind of material are we talking about?... smooth vinyl?... perforated vinyl?... woven fabric?... etc.

Some people here have used magnets for mounting various cameras. Try searching for that for some possible solutions.

I'm currently using both magnets and VHB tape to hold my Mobius directly on the headliner. Magnets are good for maintaining vertical hold, whilst VHB or velcro are better for resisting sliding and twisting.
