Mini0801 custom firmwares

UPDATE- After installing Firmware 20140116 thanks to information posted by ZED on Feb. 22
My camera is working flawlessly. Overwrites video as it should which was my main problem,
allows miles per hour instead of Kilometers, works perfectly with Registrator software and
shows GPS movement on the map. Everything is now functioning perfectly.

P.S. as far as the voice question, I have noticed no distortion at various volumes.

What happens if you put loud music on? Does the audio crackle and distort?

Tobi@s,

Could I bother you for the latest FW with the following startup screen:

and another version with this screen:

My friends have bought the Mini 0801. Both cameras have GPS and 8GB internal with 32GB external.

We really appreciate your cheerful assistance!
Sorry for delay, pretty busy atm..

Not that I noticed, but I only play music to be heard in my car, not the car next to me. One of those folks with the pants hanging off and
the ball cap turned sideways and a trunk full of speakers might have a problem.

Hi Tobi@s
I have now sorted my 0801 now to overwrite old files and now wondering if its worth having a go at changing the start up picture.
Is it possible to change the start up picture? My cam is non gps, non internal memory from eprance but want the sound on and the firmware is 20131202.

The logo I would like is https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=l...motors.net/Land Rover Freelander.html;871;495

Hope its possible
Thanks in advance :)

Hopefully not too off-topic here; I know the screen on the 0801 is one point miniscule inches diagonal, but what's the resolution on that, for power-up logo purposes? I've seen other images called out for being the wrong resolution.

640x480 is ok

Dear Tobi@s,

Wonder if you could do me a big favour - could you cook the latest FW with the following startup screen:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30912237/logo.jpg

I need:
  • MPH compatibility
  • Custom logo [file is 838 x 633]
  • RegistratorViewer as DVRPlayer:
  • I don't mind if there is a start-up/shutdown sound

My car cam set-up is:
  • 0801 bought from E-Prance on amazon
  • with GPS
  • 8GB internal memory
  • 32GB external micro SD card.

Really appreciate your assistance - keep up the good work!

Cheers

Ian

Have someone for download latest fw for GPS version without internal memory, without startup/shutdown sound and without startup picture? Thanks,

Thanks Tobi@s!

Although I have done an upgrade before, it's not working for me now. I followed ZEDs instructions on the previous page and still the camera just acts normal and doesn't offer to upgrade.

Formatted card.
Added .bin file.
Renamed to " firmware-NO1-SPIF-TB15.bin " (yes, file extensions are on)
Inserted card.
Power on camera.
...and nothing. o_O

Am I missing something obvious?

Well.. What firmware are you running at the moment?

Am I missing something obvious?

not sure, assuming the file name is correct, only things I could think of (long shot), rename the file prior to copying to card, and do a reset (press and hold the power button for 10 seconds) before you try running it again

Tobi@s, I'm on Ver. 20130924 right now.

jokiin, I just tried renaming the file before transfering it to the card (after formatting again). I also tried resetting and still get nothing.
