Mobius footage - close calls and accidents. Post your videos.

can the flickering of traffic lights be solved with some frequency/refresh rate setting on mobius, 50/60Hz?
do you think your mobius is a bit blurry at the corner?

if the lights are LED there will be flicker regardless of the setting

Yes, LED traffic lights would probably be using some sort of pulse width modulation to drive them. I have got the frequency set to 50HZ (the local supply frequency).

It might be soft- but I'm not concerned about it. It does the job fine and has been through some really hot weather for 2 odd years (always parked outside with little shade.) The lenses can be refocused- I think I did adjust it about 6 mths or more ago? The windscreen of the car is also not the cleanest. The number plate of the front vehicle can be clearly read by pausing the video as we're driving past. Don't forget Youtube also destroys the video quality- even when viewed at 1080.

Close but probably considered a red light runner; got caught by the cop of course ;)

Good video. Your radar defense system looks accurate.
I am planning to get the Escort Passport 9500ci, its remote and stealth, the features are great but not sure how accurate they are.

Agreed, what were they thinking?

pull over for a change of underwear after that one
There was some clenching involved! :)... and some select words in the raw footage which I decided to mute out :)

(Reposted under a new username... sorry to be awkward p.s. anyone know how to delete a user profile?) Driving home last July after returning from Newcastle airport, the oncoming driver failed to stop but we got the footage from the camera, thier insurance company admitted liability and the driver is being prosecuted by the police... Can't recommend getting cameras enough.. new added one to my wifes car and I have also added a rear facing camera to my car as well. My wife was going straight, she thought there were no more vehicles coming so she went, then panicked and decided to alter her route, she had a little kid in the back so didn't want to get hit while waiting for that vehicle to get out of the way. She called me on the phone asking me who's fault it was and what was she suppose to do, I couldn't really tell her till I came home and review the footage.

Caught a runner falling on some left over ice on the side of the road. Watch the right hand side.

Should be accurate; like the Beltronics STi-R's. Plus it has the Ka segmentation for the 9500ci's so you'll be able to have the Ka's respond faster if you know what your area uses for frequencies. My RX65 doesn't have that capability but fast enough as I only have the Ka turned on.

you should have got out and smash the mirror with his head then take the key and leave

HOW NOT TO OPEN THE DOOR

EDIT: 2 days later the guy in the shop we were parked in front of, gave me number of the guy that hit my door, i called him, and he paid for the damage :D
im glad i havent yet got bored of watching footage of every ride and nonride(parked), because otherwise i wouldnt even notice the damage :D

Stupid truck driver, doesn't signal or check blind spot.

Here's one where I was rear ended AGAIN. $%^$^& three times in about a year. The audio after the impact was edited out because you do NOT want to hear what I said.

OMG Bob! Not again! Hope you are OK. Russ is right, you should have a rear facing camera (I think everyone should). Then again, the law of averages would seem to dictate that this will never ever happen to you again. (well, I hope so)

Lucky you didn't hit the AMG Merc Bob, would have cost you a fortune.

What a bummer Bob!
I hope you didn't get whiplash from that impact.
Three times? It seems your car is invisible to some drivers.

I've been pondering about a rear facing cam and whether to have audio on or off.
