SGDCHW for SG9663DC (3-wire hardwire kit to enable PARKING MODE function) Timed & Low Battery Discharge Prevention

Hi guys.
This is a huge thread - sorry if this has already been asked.

Recently purchased two SG9663DC systems - really impressive! One is permanently hardwired and the other just runs off the accessory cigarette socket.

Looking at getting 2 x HW kits, but would like to know some more information:
1. When in parking mode and recording at the slower rate, is the reason for this to reduce storage usage, reduce power consumption (if so, by how much?) or some other reason?

2. I believe there is a configurable period where the cameras records at full rate after switching off ignition. What is the range that this can be set to? I'd be wanting 1 hour.

Thanks in advance:)

Cheers
...Steve

timelapse mode uses less space, it generates less heat, and it uses about 10% less power, it switches modes with a few seconds of key off or key on

Thanks Jokiin.

So I think you are saying that I am not able to record for an hour after turning the ignition off (eg had an accident and I want it to record the post accident events)?
Cheers
...Steve

if you want to do that for a specific incident if you power the camera off and manually turn it back on while parked it will come on in full recording mode

He said the circuits you tapped should be fine, your model is fairly straightforward

I'm in the factory next week, I'll check with our hardware engineer and see what he says
Any update on this?

have a couple of things we're checking here, won't have an update on that until Monday though
please tell me differents because on SG website i can't found this in tech details

The main q is - what models support parking mode WITHOUT hardwire kit?
I mean models:
- sg9663dc
- sggcx2 pro
- sggcx2

Like i see, sggcx2 pro DO not support any parking mode, timelapse, motion detection and etc without hardwire kit. So because menu do not have this options, correct?
Now sg9663dc - like i remember this model have parking mode in old firmwares without hardwire kit, correct? But now? Still in firmware or delete?
Finally, what about sggcx2?

So can u make easy table which model support parking mode only WITh hardwire kit (2 wires or 3 wires (acc)) or also without...because via website don't possible get correct information...
thanx

you need the hardwire kit for parking mode in SG9663DC (SGDCHW) or SGGCX2PRO (SGX2HW), it is not supported without it, other models are coming which will also support parking mode

SGGCX2 does not support parking mode

SGGCX2 does not support parking mode
so, sggcx2 support parking mode without hardwire kit? correct?
9663 and SGGCX2 PRO support only 3 wires mode (ACC) hardwire kit, right?

no, it doesn't have any parking mode function

correct, use the hardwire kit to get parking mode function

hmm but what this mean on official site?

motion detect is not parking mode
please explain more, i dont understand what u mean Different manufacturers use different concepts.
Example viofo and korean manufacturer uses motion detection as part of parking mode...
how its uses on your products? what is mean here?
on website no any information about this function

Yes some use motion detection for parking mode, it is not reliable enough to use for that purpose
mm can u tell more?
First of all, can we summarize what is generally a parking mode for U?
How i understand - its mode, when dashcam recorded video for saving more space on card when car is not drive. Its main goal.
Usually manufacturer use 3 to accomplish this goal, usually use such events or technologies:
- event as motion detection
- event as g-sensor
- timelapse technology
These options can be used both individually and together.

So, hardwire kit with ACC - it's just a way to enter parking mode. Usually possible 2 automatic methods: with 3 wires (ACC) or with timing setting (example like blackvue). But we also have manual methods how to entered to parking mode (mini006 example)/

Finally please correct me if i am wrong:
- sg9663dc - have now only ACC AUTO parking mode with hardwire kit and dont have any MANUAL motion detection events or timelapse function.
- sggcx2 pro - like same above
- sggcx2 - have motion detection only, so possible sayes - have parking mode with motion detection function. But entered to this mode is manually?
Correct?
