Vantrue E360

you can set up the interior camera so that it only shoots in parking mode.
That's a useful option to have, for those who want front & rear cameras whilst driving then 360 coverage when parked

then 360 coverage when parked
If you set the E360 to 360-degree viewing while driving, then in parking mode: "Low bitrate recording"
the front and interior cameras will shoot separately in a resolution of 1920x1080 15 fps.

This is how I installed the E360 in my car, since there is no suitable place on the windshield.
In the spring, the E360 will move to the minibus on the windshield.
It will look better there. 😉

The first mount turned out to be a bit high and when driving the E360 vibrated a bit, so it was decided to redesign it.
If the GPS module were removed, the whole design would be nicer, but GPS data is also needed, so it was decided to leave the GPS module.

Having watched a video of rides where the speed rose to 110 km/h, no vibration was noticed.

I have a 10ft selfie stick for my Insta360
Do you think that this 10-foot selfie stick is necessary for every user and should be included with the camera?
In my opinion, what is included in the kit is quite enough for normal operation of the E360.
The only thing that is sometimes missing is the CPL filter.

Should it be included? No. Not everyone wants or needs it.
Optional? Maybe?

The Ace kit includes everything you need. I agree.
With the small bag you can take everything on a trip.

Is it necessary?

No, but you did ask why someone would want a longer stick and that's my reason

And no, a 10 foot stick doesn't have to be included with the kit, I just used it as an example

I received a mount with a suction cup.

You can easily attach the E360 to a vertical windshield with this mount, but you won't be able to attach it to a horizontal surface.

@Karagandinez unfortunately I just returned mine, I'm waiting for Vantrue to introduce PlatePix on E360. In Parking Mode everything it's worse

They have already made a lot of improvements in the latest firmware version:
I hope they will add PlatePix in the next firmware version.

Lol it has enough trouble with plates because of how far away it is, PlatePix might help a bit but not the core issues. Seems like panorama stitching got an update at least.

@Karagandinez last time I spoke with Jeff from Vantrue, were having issues adding PlatePix and as I can see, they focus on other things. A dashcam it's kind of pointless if you can't get the plate number especially in Parking Mode

There are other serious issues like:

Motion Detection even in Low Sensitivy, is giving too many false alarms. When a car is passing, is detecting motion

Bitrate Mode or any other mode can't be used with Collision Detection

And I can't understand why they didn't made it 4k. Why a 2k dashcam in 2025? Everyone was expecting a real 360 dashcam and all we get from Vantrue it's a 2k with no capabilities of reading a license plate below 5m

If it was 4k it would have been 8k total which probably is too much for the NT98530 chipset.

No, is not because NT98530 features:

16MPixels 30fps (4kp60)

Also, AI scene detect which is not implemented in the Motion Detection

Missing ADAS

None of this are available, feels like Vantrue it's 10 yrs behind. And it's pretty sad because they have wonderful ideas

Very well about dual 4k then but others are optional and probably need work by the manufacturer to make it work. honestly due to the field of view of it being 360, it's tough to get a better zoom on plates. Though you could be right that it could make plate reads better by increased resolution.

ADAS is only a bigger issue for those with older vehicles, new vehicles these days have all that built in.

You got me wrong. I'm talking about marketing, customers wish to buy this dashcam and customers way of thinking: "Wow! This is the best dashcam ever from Vantrue. What it offers? ADAS, AI, PlatePix, Highly Customizable Parking Mode, 4k???!!! Voice Commands, Tripod?! OMG that's great!!! Maybe they also have a battery pack let's check, I wanna buy it!

Wait a minute.. it doesn't have any of that, just a 360 camera most of the time unable to capture plates, kind of useless parking mode, very poor clarity for night vision, useless IR for the front camera, neah.."

This is my final question for Vantrue as a customer:

Why ruin the best dashcam idea in the world with the lack of this functions?! WHY?! With 4k and all other capabilities, Vantrue 360 would be No. 1 in this world 2025. All other brands would go crazy just by hearing the name Vantrue

BTW, Augustus, please check the Vantrue Yt Channel and watch again their advertisment video about the E360. Watch closely and you will see that the footage from E360 it's 8k (4k video quality) compared to real life footage. We never get such details from e360

They should hire me for marketing

Which video is that link me please

Vantrue have released a solid model in the E1 Pro and have had some good dashcams in the past like the nexus 4 pro.

Maybe it isn't the best implementation of a 360 camera but to be fair it's a first generation product. They at least have something to build on if consumers want to purchase and make this a success.
