So I know it runs of 5V and i'll need a good quality cable, but will 2.4amps be enough to power the dash cam properly ?

Apart from Anker and Monoprice any other brand to look at ? Anker also seems to have various different products, is there a minimum power requirement to run the camera ? Ideally in the future i'd also like to be able to power the 2CH version camera coming out.

I want to buy my friend a sg9665gc 3 but they only have 1 outlet in their car. Will it work if I buy one of those 12v outlet plugs which have 2 usb ports so I can plug an iPhone charger and the dash cam of that ?

Well my plastic holder came off from the adhesive which was still a bit tacky. It was fine in the cold but in the heat no chance. I just covered the entire back of the plastic housing with Araldite and so far no issues with heat. The cars parked outside all day on a 30 celsius (86 fahrenheit)...

Had the same issue here as the temperature is getting hot in Australia. I bought some high temp araldite from a local hardware store and stuck the plastic housing to the adhesive glue. Make sure it's high temp but mines been stuck on like theres no tomorrow. The glue isn't expensive should be...

4k would eat up your memory card like theres no tomorrow though. I think focusing on better 1080/60 quality and a higher bit rate would be a better solution. I'd rather have higher quality at a lower resolution.

Would love if you could buy a stripped down camera e.g. no gps, no screen just an on off button for those of us who have our cams hardwired and set and forget.
